Hi, names Anthony just my first Infiniti, it has 128k miles , drives really nice and I also love way the engine sounds which is why I always wanted a g or a z. I prefer the g because a little more space and looks way sexier. I come from Honda and I am a true fan of Honda but I have always loved Nissan just never could afford one let alone afford an inifitini. I do have a few questions. First , I want to know if anyone has a problem when shifting from 4th to 5th , it seems the gears are really close together that I have to almost aim for 3rd to get it into 5th, no grinding noise at all btw , it just feels like I hit a wall going into 5th if I go to far right and yet I'm nowhere near the actual wall of the shirt box, also I would like to know what's a good first mod on these cars, also anyway to get rid of the navi that is in the car for something more modern or update the system? The car from the inside doesn't look 2007 unless you look at the navi. Anyone have pics of their grey g35 sedan with wheels and if they blacked out their tailights? Also wanting to swap the headlights to led if they provide more light , even though the stock ones do an amazing job , just a little too white for me , I need a little bit of blue in them. Should i just stick with a standard hid bulb or go to led. Also would love to get rid of the dome light for led.

 

2007 mods would be MREV2 lower plenum + 5/16 plenum spacer, z-tube for sound, HFC or test pipe, cat-back exhaust, tune. That's just keeping it simple and going for the big gains.

Say homie ^^^, he's got a sedan so if it's a 2007 it's an HR motor.

My guess though is it's an 05-06 sedan in which your mod suggestions are spot on as usual.....

 

Are you sure? I thought the '07 6MT had a rev-up??? Did the 6MT sedan end up with an HR?

 

The 2007 sedan was the second gen but still a G35 with the 3.5 VQ HR motor. The coupe was still first gen and in 08 changed to the second as a G37 with the 3.7 VQ which the sedan adopted in 09 becoming a G37. I believe you could get the 6MT in 2007 sedans and up.

 

I do have the 2007 Sedan Let me see if i have a pic of the dealer info on it , I wish i knew if any mods were done to it , but the dealer had no info. So since it is the 2007 6MT what other mods would be recommended something that will also not destroy my bank account, Should I start with Intake, or exhaust ?
