just bought g35s sedan 6mt, clutch problems on day 2!

Been lurking on this forum for years. This week I traded in my 2nd 350z (03 touring 6mt).
I bought an 07 g35s sedan 6mt used from a dealership.

Car has high miles 90K. But I bought the car for 15,500.

Day 1 drove fine. Clutch seemed odd but I assumed it was a different pressure plate than my old z.

Day 2. 4:30am start car and clutch stays close to the floor rebounds about 10-20% of its capability. Cant get the car in gear. Pump clutch many times every pump gives me a different amount of rebound response and finally i can get it in first. Once im out of first the car drives fine but clutch seems to engage at different points randomly.

Day 3 This problem persists, I pump the clutch the majority of the day long having many issues getting into first gear.

Clutch fluid full

Did some research but the results were varied.

Some say u need to bleed the system, others say u need a new master or slave, others say clutch is going. But most importantly I did not see many posts where people had a conclusive resolve for the issue.

The car is going to a shop in town tomorrow morning.
Any information would be greatly appreciated,

There was a recall for the slave cylinder. The clutch pedal was not coming back up when pressed. Make sure your car had this done.

I believe they will since it was an outright "recall" campaign.

Welcome to the G 2nd Gen Sedan family! Great cars huh?!? Well, once you get your problem fixed it will be awesome. What made you decide the G over the Z?

Nice!!! I swap my Z for a 6mt G sedan as well.

The problem as stated above is a failed CSC (concentric slave cylinder) It's a common problem on Z's and G's with the newer HR and VHR motors

My car had the slave cylinder replaced by previous owner, same symptoms.

They have had the car for over 48 hours. Called them after 24 hours and they said that they would have a technician look at the car today. Haven't called them yet this morning but I plan to go in around 4 today.

I wonder how much this will cost out of recall. I will most likely take the car to another mechanic friend of mine that did the work on my last 2 350s but I was hoping the dealership would come forward and cover it since it is the same issue as the recall.

Average cost for slave cylinder replacement outside of a dealership?

Then they should show it as either having been performed already or still pending. If it's been done already, they're most likely not going to do it again unless it's under warranty, but if it hasn't been done yet, then they pretty much have no choice; it's coming down from corporate. The fact that they looked it up and came back with nothing applicable to your vin is disturbing though; somebody's not reading something right here.
