New Owner Questions! Infiniti g35 2005 Newbie!

Hey! So I recently picked up an Infiniti G35 2005 Coupe Automatic Transmission, I have a list of pros/cons/ and general questions with the car. Hoping someone can help me out with this, itd be greatly appreciated.

-Pros - The cars engine runs beautifully, very fast and smooth. I drove the car a total of 100 miles, and it was a smooth ride.

- Low Mileage 109k-
Brakes in good condition-
No Leaks (To my knowledge)-
Has a sun roof-
Clean Title

Cons- 1. Keyless Entry Fob does not unlock driver side door, Keys do not unlock driver side door manually either. What could this be and how much does it cost to fix?

1.The driver side door handle has been broken off a little it seems-

2. Passenger side window doesn't work-

3.When I put the car in reverse, I have to press the gas to get the car to move ( Is this normal? )-

4.Two front tires are in bad condition-

5.Interior in bad condition, Few cracks in dashboard. CD player non operational ( Who still uses CDs anyways

6.Car has ABS VDC and Slip light on, however the car was able to break on short notice with no problem on the freeway.

7.-Steering is a little tight.

P.S Its a red car, I'm not a fan of the color and I will be dipping the car when I can lol.

Overall I think I got a decent deal. I paid 2900$ and I know I'll need to put some money into it for the cons listed above. Would anybody be able to help a newbie out? Thank you!!-

If the shifting feels normal I wouldn't worry about the transmission issue but definitely drain/fill ALL fluids in the vehicle since it's fair to assume nothing besides motor oil has ever been changed. Depending on the condition of the transmission fluid I would drain/fill it with the next 2 or 3 oil changes.

Window motor is probably shot, common failure, easy fix.

Door linkage is probably broken somewhere on the actuator or elsewhere on the mechanical opener, easy to inspect or troubleshoot.

eBay is your friend for replacing damaged OEM interior components.

My wife hates that I still play cassettes in the garage but hear me out. You can change them out with dirty hands and not worry about screwing them up like you do with CD's or your phone.

Cassette player FOR LIFE! And I have boxes of them, good **** too, every Journey, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Van Halen, etc.

@Cleric, Thank you! In regards to my transimssion. This does get kind of annoying when it comes to parrallell parking though, I have to press the gas to get the car to reverse, thats not normal right? And the Door doesn't even open manually as well (Inserting, turning the key), would this be the same fix? Also VDC, Slip and ABS is on but I found many posts here that address that! Thanks again!

Yeah the reverse thing isn't normal, probably a transmission problem because it should be rolling on a flat surface when you release the brake. What rpm is the motor at while in reverse? Sounds like a low line pressure problem, possible a torque converter issue, possible just really bad fluid but you typically feel those in forward gears too so...

VDC problem will probably take a trip to Nissan for a Consult-II scan but you can visually inspect things like brake fluid level, wheel sensors, etc just tommake sure it's not obvious damage. If the brake pads look REALLY worn then that can cause it.

Thanks for clearing that up! Ouch I hope it isn't an expensive fix on the tranny. I don't have the car on my right now, I had to store it somewhere else until I could take care of all of the dmv paperwork. It still needs a smog too but not too worried about that, the abs vdc and slip light shouldn't prevent me from passing. I appreciate your help! I don't wanna put more than 2000-3000 into all of this.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a local reputable transmission shop give it an inspection, they typically have computers that can measure.line.pressure readings and such like the dealership can but you get a more specialized diagnostic.since that's what they.focus.on.

Then if there is.a problem you can at least plan for it and get a rough idea what the life expectancy and death cycle will be like.
