There was a DIY on the transgo kit but the instructions are well written with good diagrams and the exact size bit you need the drill out the valve body, the diy would be good for folks who aren't sure if they could actually DO the job though I guess.

sorry for the hiatus. I've been slammed with work and gigs. I briefly joined a second band, but they're kinda sheisters. anyway, I've successfully installed coilovers and test pipes pulled from an m35 so shes low n LOUD. (pics will be uploaded later)
now my current issue is the frequency in which it goes into limp mode. it used to do it once in a while but now its every other day. either I'll start it up and it's already in limp or itll drop out while I'm driving. I'm almost tempted to drive it into a lake at this point. any ideas what it could be before I drop it off at the shop? resetting the ecu usually fixes it but having to do it every other day is getting quite old, seeing as how it's like entering a cheat code

Codes. Pull'em. If no check engine light, get pending codes pulled.

the only code (other than cel not working) was 0420, which said something about the catalytic system. I'm guessing the o2 sensors are bad? I do have old test pipes pulled from an M35 with it's original o2 sensors plugged in

That could be your issue. The o2's are fragile and it's written in the FSM that if they're dropped from a height of 1' or something like that then toss it and get another.

I went to ft Walton beach a few weeks ago to record a music video of sorts and the airbnb I stayed at had a nice speed bump at the entrance that I bottomed out hard on and that may have messed up the sensor. that next morning it was in limp and ever since then it's been going into limp more frequently

lmfao I'll post a link to the video whenever they decide to finish it, if you're interested in checking it out. we also released our first ep recently. I learned the hard way why most bands sample drum tracks instead of recording it live

k so I fixed the limp issue. I put spark plug fowlers over the o2 sensors and it hasn't gone into limp mode since then.
I got aftermarket headlights with black housing for Christmas but they dont *really* fit. theres a bit of a gap between the hood and the lens. do yall know of any aftermarket headlights that are actually made for the "production model" g35? my grandparents got it for me and wanna exchange them but I highly doubt I'll be able to find any that are made for my car. I'd rather keep them in and just sugru the gaps, changing headlights is a huge pain when your car is 3 inches off the ground
