Smile Got my 3rd G!

Just purchased my 3rd G yesterday. I have been a G37 guy (2009 G37X Sedan and 2008 G37S Coupe). Excited to have my first 35! Absolutely loving the handling and ride of it. Got it for a great deal from the original owner who had all the maintenance done. It's a 2007 G35X with 120k miles and in excellent shape overall. Deciding what to do for upgrades, anyone have any ideas? I was going to black it out, but I feel like that trend has gone away. I welcome any and all help anyone can give!

Funny you mention blacking out. IMO, this trend will never go out of style. I just received a new black chrome grille in the mail today (just need to transfer the original emblem over). I'm also in the process of blacking out the chrome window surrounds with pre-cut vinyl pieces. Was a bit skeptical about the outcome and quality but patience is key when applying them. And of course, tints are on the agenda. I believe that these subtle mods transform the G from a luxury cruiser to a sports sedan, at least aesthetically.

Very clean car BTW, looks nowhere near 15 years old. How do you like the 5AT compared to the 7? I love the rawness of it, more so than the refined ZF8 found in newer BMWs I previously owned.

Thanks for the reply. I actually love the 5AT over the 7. Much smoother to me. Honestly I feel like the 35x handles better than my 37x. Blacked out might just be the ticket i have always wanted to. Care to share where you got the grill and vinyl pieces to cover the chrome?

yep, eBay seems to get a bad rap, sometimes for good reason. I can tell you that I'm very happy with both products. I removed the emblem from my old grille and painted it with factory matching platinum graphite paint. Looks killer. I'll see if I can upload some pics. The shipping quote was nowhere near the cost listed. It came from CA with free shipping. I offered $180 and he accepted.
