OK guys i just signed the paper work and and picking up a 2006 g35 IP stone 6MT with premium and aero for $35,200 before T,T, and T. They had to ship the car from VA to NJ because apparently there are only 2 available in my color combo on the east coast. My question is, did i get ripped off? how much did some of you guys pay for your G's?

 

I paid 34K with premium but no Aero.. check at Edmunds.com and see if what is the price. i like edmunds.com if I'm buying a car since their quote are lower but if I'm selling one i use KBB.com, That is why most car dealer use KBB(Kelly Blue Book) coz they mark the car higher especially for used one.

 

Nope, before tt&l, dealer invoice (what the dealer paid the factory for the car) for what you described is $34,664. So you paid $536 over and that is right on target for what a good deal is right now.

 

I got my 05, with premium, aero and the sports package for 33,800 before tax

That sounds about right. I don't think your are getting ripped off but I would of shopped around. Anyway congrats. post some pics

Yea I shopped around quite a bit. I went to 4 different dealers around my area (Philadelphia area) and all of them told me the same thing...only 2 cars matching my color combo on the east coast. And I guess since the original dealer wants to make a profit too, they are charging my purchasing dealer (Holman Infiniti) for a profit and then they sell it to me for an additional profit. From what I found out from the other dealers, which may be just a ploy, is that the original dealer is selling the car to them for $35,128. I would think this was a scam but I got the same invoice price from three other dealers, down the very dollar $35,128.

One of the salespeople, Damien from Infiniti of Ardmore (great guy by the way), told me that if I could get that car for $35,200 from somewhere else, go there. That's what sold me on this price that a salesman was willing to lose the sale because he knew he couldn't beat that price.

Does anyone else think this is just me being gullible?

I just can't understand why we pay soooo much more money for the same car compared to you guys in the states.
Retail list price for 2006 G35C 6MT Sport pkg, no aero, is about CAD$52,000, the going rate may be $1,000 discount from it so CAD$51,000 before taxes, freight and PDI. With the exch rate of about CAD$1.15/USD$ today, it is USD$44,300. Damn, that's 26% higher!
In Japan, the same 2006 car (premium pkg) is listed at JPY3,633,300, so at exch rate of 118JPY/USD today, this becomes USD$30,800.
Not to mention that we get taxed about 60% thru income tax and sales taxes. It's a communist land....
.....just venting....

i got my g35 coupe brand new in 2005 aero,sports, and misc. lil things for 35,000, the sticker on the vehicle was 39,500

 

where are u from? cuz i wanna go to that dealer now...some things fell through on the credit application and i am going through a local credit union for the loan. but can anyone recommend a good dealer in the NJ/Philly area?
