Im looking to put in a Pioneer Avic Z-1 in my 06 sedan with premium. I want to put in all the bells and whistles (XM, BT, Backup cam, ipod, and maintain the steering wheel controls). I will be using the stock bose speakers and other components for the time being. Does anyone know of a reliable place that could do this in Long Island that can maintain the stock appearance and do the Dual climate mod on the AC controller. Thanks!

I went to Movin on sounds iin Franklin Square today. They are ridiculously expensive. Wanted like 1200 for the install and over 4k if I bought all the equipment from them. I tried Audio Planet in Huntington Station....they gave me a great price for the install and the equipment and they are an authorized Pioneer dealer. I will go to audio designs an check them out tommorrow. Do you think they will do the hack for the z-1 or will they go strictly by the book.

 

good luck with the search for installers.. would u post pics after all is done? might b doing the same z1 setup in the spring...

 

Movin On is expensive the workmanship is definitely not worth the price from my personal experience w/ them.

i heard audio designs is very nice.

my brother had a valentine "undetectable" Laser jammer instaled in his 06 (07?) ML 500. They did a fantastic job + worked after hours to finish the vehicle in the time promised. They did a fantastic job considering the vehicle had a brand new body - and came right out of the showroom.

as an extra touch they comp'd the ceremic tint job on his front windows due to their lateness

 

Audio Designs is a great place.. they do excellent work.

Don't ever go to Movin' On. They're a rip off and will not work with you.
