Tire Shops in NYC
Looking for a good shop that can swap tires on OEM 19s without scratching them. I have been to a few shops so far and they have refused to work on the 19s the minute i mention the fact that i do not want the outside lip to be scratched.
This leads me to believe that most of these shop expect to mess your wheel and for you to be ok with it.
Now ... does anyone know a good shop in Queens or LI area that can do this?

Just talk to them and tell them that you don't want to scratch the rims. They are good people. If they can't do it they will say so.
I've had nothing but good experineces with them.

Kenny thanks a lot for letting me know about them. They were a bit on a pricey side for mount and dissmount, but they did a good job.

Then as I saw the mechanic playing around with the computer while the car was on the lift and going through menu and clicking OK on everything... I realised why it was so cheap. I started asking him questions about the car, and he only mentioned yes, no to my opened ended questions and said no speak english soon there after. Well the rest should not need an explanation.
I left the place to test drive the car... the steering wheel was not straight and the car kept pulling to the right. Went back the guy who gave me a dirty look when i pulled in again. He didnt put the sensors on the wheels to check stuff just fidled under the car for 5 min gave it an eye examination and said i was good to go. Soon after i realised nothing was changed and it was the same.
POINT OF THE STORY.... this place sucks for 4 wheel alignment. You get what you pay for.
