1st Oil Change Kings Infiniti

I went in for 1st oil change today. Car has 2090 miles on it.

1. My service dept. told me Hyper ground kits will void the warranty. They said ANYTHING I do on my own underneath the hood or chassis WILL void the warranty.

A--holes!!! I am not a racer. I am not looking to do many things. I just want to hyperground the car since Ive read so many excellent reviews about it.

2. Told them my driver side wiper was streaking. They replaced it no charge.

3. I had my own splash guards which I purchased online and had them install it today at the dealer. Charged me 60. No problem.

I specifically asked them to apply the guards on AFTER they washed the car so as not to have any salt and dust trapped between the car body and splash guards. I hear an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure ya kno. They applied them without washing my car first.

4. I am not too crazy about the car wash they use. My left front wheel is scratched miserably but I am not sure if it was me or them so I left that alone.

5. My salesman who made the appointment for me for the service today promised me a loaner car. The service guy refused to honor this. He told me he would have me in and out but I spent 3 hours of my day there.

By the way my dealer is Kings Infiniti in Brooklyn, NYC.

Re: 1st Oil Change Kings Infiniti

I have also been to Kings Infiniti. So far my experience hasn't been that bad. What I am still trying to figure out though is where they buy their motor oil from that it costs almost 70 dollars for an oil change????? When I came back later on that day to pick up my car the service dept was closed to so I had to pick it up directly from the dealership. They checked my brakes as part of the bulletin and ended up charging me for brake replacement which as everyone knows by now is under warranty. I had to pay it because otherwise they wouldnt of given me my car. I was told to come back the next day and work it out with the service dept. and if it is an error I would be credited. Not a bad experience just a little bit of a hassle.

Okay, I went to Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY... and charged me around $70 for that first oil change.

I'm going to Ramsey, NJ for my 2nd service tomorrow. I may regret saying this now, but I'm actually looking forward to the carwash Damn road salt.

Re: 1st Oil Change Kings Infiniti

I just picked up my 2004 G35 Coupe from Kings. I got a great price on the car, but I was woried about using their service department. The info in this thread was bad news, but good to hear. Any other dealers in the same area that you guys would reccomend?

Re: 1st Oil Change Kings Infiniti

I just went to Ramsey Infiniti in Ramsey (or Upper Saddle River), NJ, off Rte 17 by the I-87/I-287 split, for my second service. The service guys there are really nice, and didn't seem to care about the warranty issue when I brought up performance mods. They even said some Kings customers are driving out there for service. Although, the second service isn't a biggie (just brake check, tire check, oil change). You can do that at a local shop, then cash in your free brakes at Kings if you need replacements.
