Free BMW Cruise in New England

I don't know any more details. I haven't even read the whole web page but I know they are still looking for drivers because they keep sending me emails.

http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/...px?EventID=337

The Ultimate Drive for the Cure is a two part driving event that starts in June in our Chapter area. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness, funding for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. The general public is invited to drive the fleet of BMW s at participating BMW retail centers during an Ultimate Drive for the Cure Event. This will be the eleventh year that BMW NA has partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and over eleven million dollars has been raised in the fight against cancer through this worthwhile event. The Komen fleet consists of two distinctive fleets of eighteen cars each that will crisscross the country between May and December.

The DAYTIME Event starts at 10AM and ends at 5PM at the following BMW Retail Centers. Please call 877-423-7483 to arrange for the time that you would like to drive and to request a specific car to drive over the course that usually lasts for 20 minutes. There is no charge or obligation to partake. For more information about the event log onto www.bmwusa.com

Schedule for participating BMW Retail Centers in the Boston Chapter Area:

June 15 BMW Gallery-Norwell (5:30PM)
June 16 Herb Chambers BMW Boston (5:30PM)
June 21 Foreign Motors West BMW Natick (5:30PM)
June 22 BMW of Peabody (5:30PM)
June 24 BMW of Shrewsbury (Wagner) (7:30AM)
No BMW Dealers in RI are participating this year

The EVENING program runs from 5:30PM to approximately 9PM. The Komen Fleet is moved from each BMW Dealer to the next dealer in the evening. Twenty Shuttle/Transport drivers are required to help with moving the fleet. If you want to help you must be 21 years old and be able to get to the dealership by 5:30PM. Dinner will be provided by the dealer involved. There will be an online registration arrangement that will be operational on the Chapter website which will open soon. You must register on line this year in order to participate.

New information: BMW of Shrewsbury wants the Transport/Shuttle Drivers there by Sunday, June
24th at 7:30AM (in the morning) to have breakfast.

"The general public is invited to drive the fleet of BMW vehicles..."

Really? So I just show up, and they'll give me the keys to a Bimmer to drive? I read the whole thing from the link you gave me, but this part is unclear to me.

U can go standby, but usually some *** clown will hog a cool BMW for really long... most are not manual transmissions, and no M3/M5/M6 etc..

You drive a loop around town for 15 minutes, and cops know to look at your speed, any wrecklessness, and that you stay on the course. Natick FMW had a partial route on the Pike, otherwise its all 30mph and maybe 50 on rt9.

It was cool in 2001 before the 7 series got ugly, and then the 5 series... back then they had an autocross for new X5 V8s. That kicked ***! I would only go now to drive a 335TT. I'm all Audi nowadays
