I might be able to do the 19th also, Ill have to check on how far of a drive this is going to be, but $275 sounds pretty good to me. That is unless i find a place that does it around here at a similar price.

I'm looking to get some Huper Optiks as well put on my car. Was that $300 for that new guy in Poughkeepsie? Or is that another person? I'm looking to put in my tints before the heat of the summer rolls around... Maybe we can get a slight group discount if we all do it all on the same day, and possibly a short cruise afterwards?

 

It was $380 for the Allentown, PA.

$360 for Poughkeepsie, NY

$275 for Orange County, NY.


I asked the Poughkeepsie guy about group discount, he seemed like there was no chance.

Didn't bother asking the other two places though. Oh well, for $275, I don't care.

I got the appointment set up for June 19th, which is the first saturday that the Orange County guy is free. He said get there between 9 and 10 am. If anyone else wants to come that day, then you should set up an appt, especially if you're coming from far away. This guy seems like he may be pretty busy in general.

Yes they are busy.
If you are planning on doing it on a Saturday AND getting Huper, be prepared to spend the whole day there. Huper takes several hours to dry before you can drive it off the shop.
Ho well, the lady had told me they have a $1 movie theatre (**** ?? [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]) and some shopping plazas.
I think I'll schedule an appt. tomorrow.

About tinting places here in the area, I doubt the list they'll give you will be much different than the one they gave me. I got a name of a place as far as PA. In any case, $275 for Huper is an awesome price.
We'll be in touch, I assume you already scheduled yours for the 19th...

Just made an appointment on June19th as well... She was cracking up on the phone making sure I hadn't called before and asked off the bat if I wanted it done with all the "other" G35 to be done on the same day. The lady was very nice and I got the best quote from her ($250)... Can't beat that price for Huper... She did say that the Hupers take about 3 hours to put on, so I guess they're gonna be doing G's all day... =)

$250 huh... I guess we can all try to get there when they open (9am)? Maybe if we do, we can negotiate the lowest price possible.

And if not, heck $275... much better than the $380 I was about to spend a week ago.

Yup... $250... I'm sure we can all get that price. I'm thinking of doing 30% rear, and 40% for the sides... still contemplating the idea. I called around as well and got quotes as high as $390... so for that price, I can't complain. Everything is laser cut, and they're familiar with doing the G's. (They'll pull the fuse for the windows to eliminate that 1/4 inch window down thing our coupes have.) I'll see you guys out there on the 19th.

Think of the positives... if something happens to your tint down the line, you'll have 3 other G's to know how their tint is doing compared to yours since we have the same car, same tint, and the same dude doing the tint...on the same day... =o

I think Middlefield is only 30 minutes away from me, so I'll just go straight there ... Might be up for a quick cruise after tho'.

Just a friendly reminder about june 19th.

What time are you guys going to get there? The guy told me between 9 and 10. I'm going to try to be there by 9, but realistically, probably 9:30.

Also any plans on trying to get all of us to get a lower price? I think I said $280 or $275 or something was fine, but people here are saying they got quotes of $250.

Whatever you guys think, I'm open to suggestions.
