wizawuza,
I'm still on. I'll be there around 9.
Latest quote someone here got was $250 and that's what I'm gonna push for at the most. We definitely should try to get them to lower the price a bit - worth a shot.
I'll see you on Saturday.

Anyone want to school me on the Madico or Huper tint you guys are talking about. How is different from regular tint? Will it interfere with the radio signal when the deforster is on like metallic tint? Does anyone have pics of their car tinted with either?

From what I have researched.... the Huper Optiks are probably the best at reducing heat for the hot summer days without interfering with GPS, Satellite, radio, cell, etc reception. It's not quite as dark compared to some of the other "limo" tints, but it's definitely tops as far as heat reduction. It's a thicker film than most, and takes longer to dry/put on. Hupers usually cost $350+ and even for $275, it's a GREAT deal. The lady quoted my $250 when I set up my appointment, and precut with laser so it's a perfect fit...
You can do a search around and probably find some more pix with Huper. I've attached a pix of someone with Huper 40% I think... The don't do lower than 30%, so if you want a darker tint/less heat reduction, go with something else.

Yea... I'll be there tomorrow morning. I'm gonna have my girl come with me and drop me off so I don't have to wait 5 hours in a strip mall... =) I might be down for a cruise afterwards though with my sleek new tint...
I'm still a little undecided as far as tinting options to get:
1) 30% rear, and 40% sides --> Limit cops from stopping me for my tint
2) 30% all around --> "F" the cops...
See you guys tomorrow

I'm going with 40% all around (keep it classy, and keep the cops off of my a$$).
30% is a bit too dark and since they don't carry 35%, I'll stick with 40%
Still contemplating about the rear window though (30% ???)....
See you guys tomorrow.

babiephat, what color is your interior? I see speed's is graphite. Mine is willow, which helps with making the tint look lighter. Also in my area in NY, tons of people tint their cars, so I doubt I'll get hassled at all for my 30 percent.

Will...
James is a complete professional, knows what he's doing, and you'll be getting one of the best films on the market. He also does clear bra installs as well in case you're interested. He's done G's before, knows the ins and outs of the car, and you have nothing to worry about (i.e. He knows about the coupes windows going down, removes rear brake lights, etc). I'll post some pix when I get a chance.
The Hupers are a high quality film, and even at night, the clarity and visibilty is amazing. I went for late night cruise and I have no difficulty seeing out the windows. As for heat reduction, I notice that my A/C doesn't have to work as hard and car cools down really quick... I parked my car in the sun all day yesterday, and noticed a big difference (I have graphite interiors).
I would definitely recommend James windows after meeting him Saturday and seeing his work. He allowed us to watch him put the film on our cars. You won't be able to beat that quote anywhere else for Hupers. Enjoy...

Hey will. Don't have any pics on the computer just yet, but will soon.
The guy (James) was really nice, and seemed to do a good job. When I first left the place saturday afternoon, I saw a couple of small bubbles on my drivers side window, but by monday morning, gone.
I paid $250 by check. He wanted cash initially because of the fact that I have NY plates, and it's illegal to go under 70 percent.
Of course when I tried a local ATM, i forgot my PIN, so he was willing to go with a check.
He did a good job. I'll be able to tell you how well the heat reduction works these next few days.
Good luck.
