Finding '07 G35x

I've been looking for an '07 - '08 G35x for about a month now calling and e-mailing every dealership I can find but when I tell them how much I want to spend they're no longer interested... This forum is full of posts on how people got their G for KBB private party price. I've been offering around $18k - $21k depending on condition, options, and miles but I'm not getting many calls back. Is it really an unreasonable price?

If anyone has or knows of a G with these specs it would be great if you could post or PM me:
-2007 or 2008 G35x (stock)
-Black or IP exterior
-Black or graphite interior
-Premium and Navi packages (tech would be a plus)
-between 20k and 50k miles

I live in Jamestown, NY and I'm willing to travel at least a few hours for the right deal. Thanks

I've read those stories about good deals too, but they depend on region and also on the level of exageration given by the OP.

I know I would never sell mine for 21K!

Well there are G's listed for around $22k so I know its not TOO far out there of an idea. I'm not in a huge hurry by any means so I'll just have to wait until the right deal comes along!

it really depends on what your looking at... i really havent seen 07+ in new england for 22k... if you do happen to stumble upon a dealer thats willing "let one go" for that price be cautious... check the title, and most importantly have it inspected by a reputable shop. I would say more realistically youre looking at 24k for a 07+ X with decent miles

X's might command a little more money in the snow belt. You can probably get a RWD for the $21K...

finding a preowned in great condition is one thing. Average prices now for a '07 w/ mileage and navigation are in the mid-upper 20's.

How much are my odds increased if I wait until the end of the year (when the '10 models come out) of getting one around $21k? I really can't afford to spend much more than that so if I can't get one next year for that price then I'm going to have to rethink getting an '07+...

The biggest thing with the '07+ is I love the gauges to death and the interior is just generally much better IMO.

The X's are tougher to come by around here because of the weather we get. New England Infiniti dealers sell more X's than Journeys and S's... but with more on the road, there should be a lot coming in from 2 year leases as well.
Be patient, check back on a regular basis with your dealer, and the deal you want will appear. Make sure they know that you are ready to buy. Tell them exactly what you want and what you are willing to spend... they'll find it for you.

You may have a little more trouble finding a tech pack. Most of the leases were Premium or Prem/Nav.
Most of the Tech Pack G's were sale, not lease and they were also special order. I had to put a deposit on mine and wait for it to be built and shipped. For me, it was even tougher... getting an X with Tech and Wood Trim was an automatic special order.

Tell the dealer what you want and wait for the right deal.
Start now, don't wait for '10.

The deals are good now, who knows what they'll be like next year.
Obama is gonna save our economy... didn't you hear?

I talked to a couple of semi-local dealers and they said there's no way I'll get the car I want for the money so I told them to keep an eye out and I'm ready to buy if they happen across one (or sit on one for a few months). I've got AutoTrader and e-bay bookmarked for the specs and distance I want so I guess I'll check that every couple few weeks and see what comes up.

Thanks for the replies.

I just bought one from them 2 weeks ago. Love it.

Some wiggle room on price but I don't see 21k in your future.
A couple cars I saw for myself nice looking, great dealer reputation.

Good Luck
