Yes, guys, you are seeing this correctly. I am setting up a BBQ thread in the middle of f'ing February. I want to kick off the '09 season with a nice BBQ. We always have a great time at our BBQs and I will make sure that we secure a permit for this date. It will be a little chilly, so bundle up.
PLEASE DO NOT REV YOUR ENGINES DOWN SPRINGFIELD BLVD!!!
We did our last BBQ as Pot Luck for the Eisenhower meet, and I think that actually worked out really nicely. This means that everyone is responsible for contributing something to the meet. If a few of you want to pool together to bring some of the larger/more expensive items, that is completely fine. Also, please refrain from PM'ing me and asking to be put on the list and asking what to bring. Respond to this thread and I will add you. Look at the list and see what is missing and bring it. I will update the thread as the date comes closer so make sure you periodically check this thread. If anyone has any portable grilles, PLEASE bring them.
UPDATE
HIN is coming up in May, so we are going to have a little fund raiser at the BBQ. If you ever wanted to get back at one of the Staff for giving you that infraction, or banning you, now is your chance. You will get the opportunity to throw water balloons at a member of the staff of your choice for $TBD. Let me know if any of you guys might be interested in this.
