Man, everyone on here that knows me knows i keep my car and my rims so nice and new, but today was a BAD DAY for my NEW RIMS!! Well its my father's bday today and my mom and older brother who came early this morning to say happy bday before my father went on vacation parked like a$$holes ont he driveway almost entraping me in and my father needed to get out. So he thought he was doing me a favor by moving my car out so i wouldnt wake up which is cool, but he scraped my rear rim on the bricks surrounding my driveway and i have a foot long curb rash which looks more like chunks missing?!?!?!?! And a little one on the front passengers side, man i was so pissed but its his bday and accidents happen, its all good. But anyway where can i get this fixed like right now, very soon before the 19th meet, i cant stand to see my wheel like this knowing i have never came close to doing it myself, man.. Any suggestions, places and possible costs?

Damn Marty!!! That sux!! But ur right, accidents happen! There is a place in Farmingdale that can fix them. $109 per rim!!! You can get more info @ Fixrim.com I think. The company is called wheels america. Supposedly they do great work, but I am going by what others have said!

 

U SERIOUS??? I had no idea a wheels of america was around here, wow im so happy!! i guess im going to try and give them a call tomorrow but i doubt they are open, or monday and gett hem fixed ASAP, i'll take a picture of it lol, it looks SOOOO bad!!

Hey Marty I feel your pain , I think I did the stupidest thing ever No G Driver should ever do or follow what I have just put my G through , since I was stayin in Tonight cause I have a football game tomorrow morning I actually lent my car to my older sister, she's been in more accidents than a demolition derby G-d please take care of my G pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I just had 1 of my stock 18s repaired at Wheels America about 2 weeks ago. They did a nice job refinishing the wheel, but (no surprise here) they couldn't match the paint exactly. It's now a bit darker. Total cost was $140 (including mounting and balancing). Hope this helps.

 

Thanks surf, i dont think they would have a problem with my rims since they arent painted on the lip, its just a high polish!
We'll see though, thanks for the info guys, im gonna call them up tomorrow or monday and get it done ASAP..

Martin...........sorry to hear your new rims took a hit....but considering the way it happened....you have the right attitude....

If the lip is polished.....depending on how deep the cuts are, you should be able to have them repair/repolish and you'll be back on you way.......

Worst comes to Worst, you spring for a new rim......

I remember when I rashed my front stock 18 after less than 1 month of ownership.....I did it and was so friggin pissed I didn't sleep for 2 nights!

In the end all will be okay.......

me too. I've sanded resanded, filled an air bushed, polished and waxed more than anyone should have too.

My lastest, I hit my mother's car when visiting the old folks.... Now that sucks!

Wrah how do they come out though? I dont think it should be a hard job at all, its just curb rash but a lot of it hahaand its only on the outside of the lip, we'll see i'll let you guys know tomorrow how it goes..

damn, i cringed just reading that post. sorry to hear, but your a good man for not yellin at him on his b-day. if you have problems with that place in farmingdale, some guy handed me a flyer when i was cruising one night in yonkers. they are called "The Wheel Doctor" and specialize in wheel repair and refinishing and say their prices are unbeatable. the tel. no. is (914) 592-7045 or (914) 589-5297. i don't know anything about this place or how reliable they are, i just got the flyer from sum dude on the street, so don't get pissed at me if they are bogus, i just figured i'd let u know about them since i had the flyer handy. good luck with your rims dude, they really are hott.

Well the one out by me in Farmingdale they said they only had a machine for 18" wheels, that was Wheels America, i'll try and get the # and call them, it really isnt a big deal anymore, i dont even care LOL!!! W/E, i'll do it during the winter when i take the wheels off, good looks on the #'s and suggestions though....
