yup I looked on cardomain and that was the car. I used to see that car @ Hofstra's parking lot all the time, I guess he was schoolin there. Damn thats sad, his max had a ton of work done to it. I wonder how he lost control of the car...Its sad that two people perished in the accident.

ummmmm, the situation would be because he put them there. drunk or not, and deer or not.

>I am sure most of us have fractured a speed limit here or
>there, and it could easily happen to any of us drinking or
>not.

well we don't know if he was DWI or not yet, my guess is that he was, but other than newsday we have no confirmation.

Re: what's left of a G

Anthony Raffio used to be the owner of that very modded black maxima you guys saw on cardomain. It was stolen at gun point in NJ during the summer and he purchased the G35.

I'm a member of another forum he used to post on regularly. I met him several times at DPA and other local meets.

He isn't a bad guy at all. He wasn't some snotnose 18-year old driving his parents car reckless. I believe he had a good job, a college degree, gf, i remember reading his posts talking about marriage on the other forum. He is a regular guy like any of you.

I think it's pretty messed up that you guys are judging him and quick to talk without knowing anything yet.

This is a huge tragedy, imagine yourself in his shoes. Imagine what he has to live with for the rest of his life. Pray for the two that lost their lives in this accident. I didn't know him well but I feel terrible about this. This is like a nightmare, how can someone deal with something like this?

before you comment, just think of the seriousness of the situation, this guy is going through enough right now. Prayers go out to the loved ones of his two friends.

JZ_04 - Any updates on how this turned out?

Edit: Looks like Feb 4, 2005 before he's in court on:
D Felony 2 VEHICULAR MNSLAUGHTER-2ND
D Felony 1 VEHICULAR MNSLAUGHTER-2ND
U Misdemeanor 1 OP MV WHILE INTOXICATED 1
Infraction 1 SPEED VIOL:IMPRUDENT SPEED
C Felony 2 MANSLAUGHTER -2ND
C Felony 1 MANSLAUGHTER -2ND

Official charges were: "2 Counts of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and 2 Counts of Vehicular Manslaughter. These charges are in addition to the original charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Speeding"

Seems like a subject like this (so sensitive & personal) shouldnt eve nbe discussed on a forum like this...maybe to ask for prayers and thats it.

With people always wanting to add their .02 and be "all-knowing" (myself included) something like this might be better left off the site...

I know if it was me or any of my friends or family, i wouldnt want complete strangers judging me and talking about me on a g35 forum...

In any event, lets def keep those involved (on both sides) in our prayers. The def can use a lot of those right now...
