Anyone get to drive their G35 in the snow?

I'm about to lay down the deposit on a white 6 speed nav equiped coupe and was wondering if anyone here had experience over this past winter driving in the snow?

Any traction problems?

This is more of a curiousity than anything else though, thanks for your opinions!

Yes, it wasn't fun. Get some snow tires and cheap rims if possible for the winter.

Yes. Definitely get some snows one there. The Pilot Sports are a dry tire only. Snow was scary at best.

Re: Anyone get to drive their G35 in the snow?

you can handle it is no thaty tuff BUT YOU WILL NEED SNOW TIRES. and dont put 18inch snow tires on buy a cheap 17 or smaller and put snow tires on that. The 18s will be shity with a snow tire on them. As long as you dont go over 3,000 rpms you will do fine. you may need to turn the traction control off to get started on ice then simple turn it back on and yiou will staay stright on ur way. good luck
PS it really not that bad.

I had a run in with every storm except the 20 inch one. I slipped but as long as I took my time I was fine.

No, you increase the profile of the tire with the smaller rims. That's the purpose of getting the smaller rims in the first place. A higher sidewall tire sheds the snow easier and allows for greater traction. (Usually.)

I'm going with a 17" custom wheel sometime in october with a snow tire. First hint of snow and they go on the car!

I left mine in the garage most of winter. It was extremely hard, considering i got it in janurary and couldn't even drive it. Fight the urge definately worth it. The G is one of a kind and deserves to be treated as so. Plus you keep your miles down and less road wear.

The car was all over the place, and that was in my driveway. I just put it away in the garage for all the snow.

I used to drive a mustang around in the snow... Talk about challenging! I bet I could drive anything now. The infiniti should be an equal or easier challenge! We'll see this winer :-)

Hmmm, so generally the stock tires and 17" rims are not recomended in winter time right ? what would happen if I use it instead ?
