northeast suspension recommendation

Hi everyone I'm from NYC and i have 2005 g35 coupe with sport suspension. I feel the roads are too harsh and my car is taking a beating on everyday driving. bumps, potholes, all add up to causing damage to the car. feels like my car is falling apart.

now I already have 17inch rims on my car but now I'm thinking the suspension is possibly too rough. Any recomendation on which suspension would lean more towards comfort? I don't care for a drop but I'm okay with a drop of less than 1 inch.

I did some research and came up with H tech (350z or g35?) and maybe tokico dspecs? anyone else can give me other recommendation or disagree with those options? I really want a more refined and solid ride.

thanks in advance for all ur help!

i just put eibachs in my car it dropped it and gives me an OK ride...i was looking at changing them to H tech or even S tech tein springs...the only real difference is the drop between them....most coil overs give you that bounce to your car when going over bumps that are like any size...but i have alot of friends putting in the tein coilovers and they are pretty good they are def worth the money....but then again we live in new york....

I just put on 350Z H-Techs and Stillen Sways and the car handles much better. As well as the car isnt very bubbley anymore, everything is real tight, but comfortable. Its a perfect drop I think, especially if you have anything other then the stock bumper. Id say Z H-Techs w/o a doubt IMO.

really, you think it's too rough on 17s? tires would be one way of solving your problem. suspension, hrm. i suppose you could do sedan suspension, but that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. i think you might be better off w/ the stech. but personally i think tires might be the way to go.

I put the 350 Tein H Techs in my car. I have 19s on.
I feel that its rough but its nice rough...
I don't know what you would do if you're OEM and already on 17s.

The best suspension is the Tein flex! It's a little expensive but def. worth the price. My friend has it in his G with an optional edfc that lets you adust comfortability inside the car. Also, the bigger the rim the more uncomfortable it is. But, the bigger the tire, the more comfortable it is. That's if you don't mind riding around with monster truck tires on your car. You bought a sports car, not a minivan. What do people who own ferrari's and such do? They don't put big *** tires or a comfortable suspension! Trade it in....

I know the bigger tires the more comfortable. Thats why I bought 17s to replace my 19s. I wouldn't say my current suspension is uncomfortable but i think its really rocky over bumps.. especially over imperfections on the freeway. I guess I'm looking for a more sedan-ish kind of glide over the roads.

i know its a "sports" car and all but i live in queens and brooklyn and the roads there are pretty horrendous especially on that belt parkway. haha everytime i hit a bump i hear my vents shake like its about to come off.

Unfortunately, you will just have to suck it up or trade in the car. Unless you plan on swapping out your suspension for a sedan you will not get a more comfortable ride. I drive with my 19s OEM wheels in the city all the time and it IS brutal. I just consider it "Product durability testing" for my retroed headlights/LED Clear corners.
