Has anybody here ever been on highway 36 out of Fortuna heading to Red Bluff? OH My God!!! I burned the tires off the rims.
That is one crazy road with high speeds. From 5 mph to 140 mph, Most fun I ever had. My wife is still pissed at me. Someone explain to me who set the speed limits there? That road is just "out of control"

Dennis! When were you down here around these parts? Yeah, the roads up that way can be quite fun to drive.
I did the same sort of run with about 4 local members some 2 months ago . . . And the wife has vowed never to sit in the car with me during another high speed run. Hehehe . . . That works, as well.

I just plain ran out of time on this trip, Wanted to show the boys the giant redwoods. Vegas 1 day, So Calif 1 day, Morro Bay 1 day, Euraka 1 day.
I miss California big time!! Had a lot of fun, plus the boys and me for the first time drove over the Golden gate bridge. The GEE!! likes the cam change and banged out over 25 mpg on the whole trip. That" Highway 36 was one nasty road. Im thinking, I had to much baggage on that trip"
Not one rock chip on the whole 2500 mile trip. I will be back soon with a helmet. Damn, most fun I ever had plus the fact that my boys got to see dad in action. It was one great "short week"

Right on, Dennis. Glad everyone had a good time. I trust your wife has forgiven you.
I trust that the weather was clear for your family, as your folks trekked down Hwy 1 towards Morro Bay. That in itself is a beautiful drive.

Frisco, was great and the more north I moved makes me want to invest in some land there. I can do it, Maybe, a vinyard to retire on.
The Redwoods and Oak tress, They grow them well there, not,.....In Utah.

Get that **** installed, Mike. I probably won't have an opportunity to check it out until the TI meet, if you plan on going that is. I need to get my own a$$ down to see Rob and finish up. Let me know how it goes. Originally Posted by machavez702

Will do, I'll be looking for some place to drive soon. I Googled Hwy 36 but it's too far north for me run off to right now. I'm thinking a quick stint down 17 to Santa Cruz.
