i can wait until the "next" wave and more firmware updates are available... I didn't pay inflated prices for my car or aftermarket parts, so the most i'll pay for a ps3 is retail...i can get hdmi cables for about 5 bucks on non-ebay etailers (i would be getting hdmi to dvi-d cables though).... I've played some demos at walmart (could you believe fry's don't even have a demo???) and although it looked better than ps2 (it better be improved) it still had intermittent artifacting occurances, even in the video only demos...
