We should refrain from pointing finger at some one or blame anyone else for that incident in the public forums, I mean if, JUST and IF it was the said person? What do you think its going to happen at our next meet? And if, JUST and IF it wasn’t the said person? What do you think he would be doing for our next meet? How would you answer the above if it is you that’s been accused of doing so? Its probably better just let it go and we will keep our future meets under the hat sort of speak.

I can always take my Pruis for the meet, so I am pretty sure I will be safe from POPO for the future meets , how often do you see a Pruis getting pull over?

Wow! Before this may potentially get out of hand . . .Please, let us all be reminded that this is a public forum. Let's keep the bigger picture at hand, here and maintain a certain level of class and civility.

I have co-organized 3 runs (and would like to continue to do as such) in the past and have participated in many other runs and meets. All have been very successful and were enjoyed by all, whom had attended. Having said that, let's keep the comments of the unfortunate events of Shane's run to a minimal before they get out of hand.

Loose comments and inferences can and may create more damage than good.

Personally and for the the record, we all know what our vehicle infractions can yield us. This topic have been visited before . . . Need we go there? This will prove to be an unpopular thought. However, it is a fact. Local law enforcement will ALWAYS have the upper hand. Let's not hand it to them on a silver platter.

I have been less than active on these boards recently due to a family illness and passing. I plan on having another Santa Cruz Run. So, for the lack of better colored words, let's not **** in the pot, which we drink out of . . . If you know what I mean.

I have to believe that no one here on these boards or others was responsible for any of the ill incidents which occurred on this run. Let's simply chalk it up to back timing. Agreed?

I am so sorry to hear that there were problems! I think that Shane was right that it is a public fourm and who knows how the word got out. With that many people and cars going it seems easy for the word to get out. Next time we can do things differently. Such as... Plan a meeting spot and a approx. trip length. Then at the meeting point hand out a map of the route planned.
That way only the people who show up know the route. I did not read all the posts to this point but im aware of a CHP officer who has a G and is in our forum, however I dont believe he would rat on fellow members, even though if we are running illegal stuff on our cars we are asking for tickets. I think that is a fair statement. Although I was not in on this meet(knee surgury) I hope the outcome wont deture people from comming out on the next event. Shane thanks for setting it up and all you did..

Whole heartily agree with you Andy.

Screen name should've never been disclosed on here. No proof and serious accusation at that. Don't know and probably never will.
If reving engines going chp's by was the cause, well that's just stupid. Of course that would **** them off...duhhh. Especially for what that area is known for.

It's water under the bridge. Let's move on, but be more discreet in the future on here, even though we were doing nothing illegal.

there was some caltrans truck going up there along with 2 other trucks i wonder what happened, after 5 mins of waiting i just went up aonther road and used navi to bring me back to a main road.

 

If nothing else? I sure had very interesting meet yesterday. It was kinda off to the sour note began with, the lady work for Nordstrom came out and ask what we were doing there, by the way thanks for whoever RATed me out to her and to that so called security guard as well later on. When I was taking pics of ppl leaving parking lot? And I was like, what are we keep on circling the parking lot, most of us didn’t follow the sub leader out of lot, after we finally get ourselves out and guess what? I got stuck behind a freaking slow ***(I guess I cant say ***, how about butts ), wont pull over for nobody, just because they are saving them self few gallons of gas and they think they chit don’t smell, a Puris.

After short encounter with GQ’s (blue 350Z) future wife and finising recounting her teeth in one hand, off to some fun filled drive, well, so I thought, when I look into rearview mirror after short while, I find myself all alone, so I had to slow down for others to get caught up, in doing so we pass the accident site, saw couple of cars pulled over by the CHP, I was not sure if they were part of our group, but it was confirmed just few hundred yards down, couple other cars waiting on the side, so we stop and ask if they were OK, they were waiting for they buds whom got pull over by the CHP…Then the real fun begins.

Saw Gabe flagging us down by the Pionner market, and was infoed there were few more San Meteo finest ahead pulling everyone over for body cavity search, guess it didn’t go too bad for some by the look in of the pic, one of finest was male, Cru? Wish you were there...Wait a sec...did you get a day off or you were on duty? , between ppl expediting putting on their front plates and others in fear of sharing the same fate of the group ahead, they put in their faith with the CHP by turning back and pass by them again on their way back but in doing so they also pass on the what lies ahead, beautiful ocean view and wonderful world of Ban-Jo music which have enormous popularity in the area, few of us decided to circumvent our predicament by taking a fascinating tour of the local native’s dating ground, in doing so? I found they arent as outdated/out cultured/out classed/out of teethed as some of us may thought, because druing first couple miles of mammoth and spacious single lane roads I have encountered and its not a erroneous number either, about 15 Pruis parked in their open barn or just bit off the cliff…
