jon and i were thinking that the cops may be cruising car forums to learn about this stuff... who knows.

i remember that when we left stanford, a cop pulled up behind me and followed me out of the parking lot. maybe they called ahead?

Well we were the first people to go through. I got followed by a cop and then the cop pulled off the road at the fire station. We went down to the beach and Tu burned some more oil on the way.

Then we went to the restaurant and saw a few of you on the road going the opposite way. Kinda sucks that it got broken up but I guess having that many people stuff like that is bound to happen.

We gotta get another one together and do something more low key like go to dinner or something. Just an idea...

We ended up making a left at that stop we made in between the cops and another right on a one car lane road. That took us around the cops and back to the main road. From there we ended at the beach at Pescadero.

Btw, anyone object to me reposting my pics in the main G35Driver Picture Forum?

It's just a bummer. We we're doing nothing anything wrong.

Anyway, it was good to see some familiar faces as well as many new.
Yep, I remember who you mentioned.

Someone said it earlier...we need to think of a way to keep our meets more under wraps if its going to get hassled each time.

Geez, sorry to hear it went bad for you guys that got pulled over. I still can't believe you guys got blocked off ahead and behind by cops. That sucks.

Was in the first group of cars (me, white G (sorry, forgot your name) and kris), and immediately slowed down when we saw the first sheriff. A group of us ended up in Half Moon Bay, had lunch, then went down Skyline and 9. Oddly, no cops on Skyline.

Anyways, it was good to meet evereyone. (And kris, it's easy to be fast after driving that road so many times, even though I'm stokc. )

Good thing I made a u-turn into the motel right before the roadblock or I would've been slapped with a front license plate ticket.

I wonder who called the cops on us. 1/2 an hour later I managed to find a detour in that "jungle" and we managed to escape.

I saw the black 350z back into the 300zx with my own eyes though sadly...
Yeah! Ouch! It sure did hurt alot. Why?? all because some of us did not want to get a fix it ticket for no lic plates and tinted windows. So instead of taking the hit for a $80.00 fix it ticket, now they have to fix a large dent on the front fender which may need to be replaced. $$$$$$$$$$ However, this was an accident, but a costly one.

Yeah! It was a not day for some of us. Too much sh_t happend to us today. It was like I was in the movies. Yeah, Warren accidently hit my Green Twin Turbo 300zx. As we were trying to ditch the police and go through the backroads we hit a dead end road and everyone got a little panic. As we were backing up he did not see my car behind him and "Crash". That's all she wrote. I think I might need a new front fender. I'll post the pics of the damage, when I can figure out how on this thread. So much for all orginal.
I think I'll pass on the next one. The car will be in hibernation for quite some time.

Good luck on your future runs this year.

Im just glad nothing serious happened. I know when you get a bunch of guys together with cars they want to show off but it seems like everyone today was very mature

Yeah, it was a hassle but it didn't ruin my day. Me and my son still had a good time. Here's what the deputy told me...
Why did you pull us over?
We pulled you all over for altered vehicles.
What!?! What do I have that's altered?
(he actually looked at my bumper 4 times & yes I have a front plate)Roll up your window.
****! are you serious? (I roll it up and he has to look carefully to tell it's tinted)?? Why did you really pull us over?
Somebody from your group was reving the engine when you passed us at that accident.
Are you really going to give me a ticket for tint? We're just out for a cruise.
Yeah, it shouldn't take that long.
Thanks.

It more of a joke to me than anything, a waste of an hour. Everybody from Stockton got a ticket + a couple of others. We finally have more than 2 cars show from Stockton and we get freakin fix it tickets. FYI, my ticket also says driving 35 in a 35 zone while safe to drive 35, so don't anybody assume we were caught being crazy...by chance, we were legal at that point.

Gabe, sorry to see/hear about your fender. Good to meet some new folks and always nice to see the familiar peeps too. Andy, I tried to get a pic of you before you left split to prove you were around but I was too late. Don't be a stranger.

Edit: I forgot, That d!ck asked me if I have ever been arrested. Of course I haven't, but I had my 11 year old son next to me. What a sh!tty thing to ask with my kid sitting there.

Now, I don't know if the meet was set up. So far, the evidence seems a little tenuous - since having a truck down in a ditch in the trees seems a little elaborate just to cite people for tint/front license. Nonetheless, it's pretty effing petty to do, particularly, when cleaning up an accident seems to be the better use of public safety resources.

I will note, however, that our post-lunch run was not planned, and that there were no cops.

If I might be cynical for a moment, I think, next run, everyone should put those 11-99 CHP frames on - those guys never seem to get pulled over.
