Santa Cruz III Group Leaders
Hey Folks,
Prior to putting up a SC III Run poll, I am simply curious as to how many of you would likely commit to being group leaders for the next run/meet.
Shane, from day one has being more than instrumental in helping me with my runs. Actually, if any of you have been to other events, Shane has always had a helping hand with outside events and with his own runs, as well. Now, Shane and I would like to ask a small group of you to help us make this next run/meet go a bit smoother.
We need a few of you good people to act as group leaders. This will help insure that we can maintain a bit of order and have everything running smoothly.
The group leaders will need a 2 way radio. They will also be part of a dry run to insure that they are familiar with the route. They will be asked to show up 30 minutes earlier than the starting time at the staging area on the day of the actual run. Normally, it's just Shane, my wife ( Carol ) and myself whom go through all of these details in preparation for the runs. However, now, we are seeking some assistance.
There is no official date, obviously. As usual with the runs, I am simply trying to gauge interest and hopefully get a few commitments in hand before going any further. For those of you whom are willing to volunteer your time and efforts . . . The final determined date may conflict with your schedule . . . So, it would be great if we could get at least 5 or more people to volunteer, as some may not be able to attend this run.
At this time, I can say this much. . . The staging area will be move some 10 miles south of where is used to be and there will be no stopping at Alice's. The first SC run was well attended and the second SC run had even a larger attendance. So, the majority of you are familiar with the scheme of things.
What do you all think? Who wants to help out? Please contact Shane or myself if interested and willing.
Edit:
Here is a list of potential group leaders, thus far. A big "Thank you!" for those whom have offered their help. Once the date has been determined, I trust everyones' schedule will allow them to attend a dry run and the actual run itself.
1. G35papa . . . Chris
2. cyberecho79 . . . Mike
3. Shannieshan78 . . . Shannon
4. GISMO35 . . . Wes
5. urban . . . Paul
6. machavez702 . . . Mike
7. skeleton_cru . . . Eloy
8. rwcblkcoupe . . . Rob
Note: For everyones' consideration . . . For all future runs/meets, people may wish to consider temporarily mounting their front license plates.

Chris (G35papa), Shannon (ShannieShan78), Wes (GISMO35), and cyberecho79 . . . I never got your name, so pardon me . . . Thank you all for your generous offers of support and help. We will definitely need your assistance when the time comes. Shane and I will sort out the dry run date and let you folks know, if you are still available.
A few more volunteers and we can start the polling process for a definitive run date. I have the latter part of April through the middle of May in mind for this run. That is pretty close to the run date of the previous SC II Run.
Kris, are you in or simply kidding around.

I think I just lost Carol on our last quick jaunt down to SC some 3 weeks ago. We decided to take a break from things and decided to **** down for lunch. She actually got nauseated. We had to make a pit stop on the way back. Close call, but she made it. I don't think she will be joining on the twisties anymore.

I noticed the home location of the volunteers, as well. What's up with that?!
