Brakes coil over set up

I also need your help. What is all your opinion on a set up. I am looking to try to keep the stock ride....as much as I can

Why do you need coilovers? Will this be for street or track use? What is your budget? When do you need them?

You need to be more specific to get a good response... There are too many Tein setup's out there...

There's too many Tein setup's out there for a reason... they're a quality product...


to the OP, if you want to keep a stock feel then i'd suggest going with the Tein CS (Comfort Sport) coilovers.

I agree, I have the CS on my G and have them dialed in all the way hard. They feel just fine for my daily driver.

My TEIN Basic's were just a bit too soft for my preference, but the rebound was very quick. The Basic's are stiffer than the CS but softer than the Flex.

Figure out what you're interested, find the local memberrs that have the setup, and ask them to take you for a ride.

i liked my basics at first but now they're getting to be a bit too soft. i love it when someone drives my car and i can see its fat butt bounce up and down

Know I'm out voted here, but....
I totally satisfied with my Cusco Zero2's, with the Zero1 (non-pillow ball) rear upper mounts.

TEIN are good and very popular, but no means are they the best, imo.

Just my .02

If you're looking for some of the BEST coilovers, I'd look no further than the JIC FLT-A2.

thinking of Tein
Tein CS or HKS LS. Tein can be serviced in the states and gives you adjustable dampning, can even add on EDFC.

I had Tein CS when I had my G Coupe...it was a very smooth and comfortable ride. I had 2 problems with the CS Coilovers:
1) the rear did not go nearly as low as I wanted it to be
2) when changing the "stiffness" of the coilovers with the EDFC I honestly felt absolutely no difference at all...

In other words...might as well go with basics...

When I put my new wheels on... 19's i am going to want to drop it down a little so it does not look funny

If that is your only consideration . . . You may elect to simply go with a set of lower springs, which closely match your current spring rates. Depending on the amount of drop you require, you may or may not need a camber kit. You'll save a considerable amount of money and time.
