yeah when i went to the dealership to get my oilchanged they said they were gonna do the headlamp recall and i just declined it. I know the reason it was recalled in the 06's was that the headlamps were aimed too high and not to code or something. Maybe you can meet up w/ a fellow g35 driver at night and compare...
