Watch out in Walnut Creek!

I just got a tint violation in Walnut Creek.

The motorcycle cop pulled me over and said he believed that my tint was over the legal limit. Asked my to roll my window up 8 inches and came back with a tint meter which he slide over my window. This meter measures the exact percentage of light that passes through the window, kinda crazy. Well I guess I could say I have 19% instead of 20% now. After he writes me the ticket he complement my car and says he likes the seats. Kinda pissed after that, but whatever. Well the only good thing is that an officer that I know already signed the ticket off for me, making it a only $10 while keeping my tint on the car.

So if you are in the Walnut Creek area roll your windows down. Just giving the heads up.

I do that too but I have a shaved head so I like the air flowing over my bald head...

Thanks for the warning, good thing is that you only have to pay $10 for the fix and still get to keep you tints.

Toys

Wow WCPD got a new toy to play with. Making our streets safer for the kids no doubt ! I would suggest it they really want to milk that cash cow, go up into Northgate and pop all the Benz, Jag, and Beamers comin down from the country club. But that would be pickn on the rich and famous, so I doubt it would ever happen, but I'd love to video that "tint sting" in action . Prob could nab a a lot of front LP criminals too!

That toy tells me one thing...
They out to crack down on tints.
My tint guy has one of those and showed me what mine were before tinting.
Thanks for the 411 in WC.

Nice choice in wheels. Let's hope they don't come up with a lip law or rim diameter law. Because they distract motorists, turn heads and might create accidents. Then they can run around with an infared wheel measuring toy . It'll cost 15k , but they'll get 100 k in fix it $$ off of it a year.

Nice wheels you have as well...

Lets hope they're not profiling in WC, though I've seen/know different in other towns/counties near-by and not just for tints

I thought it was illegal to have any kind of tint on the front windows in California, isn't it?

legal limit in CA is 70%, which is really not worth having your car tinted for such a light shade. I got the ticket during the day around 1:30pm on Tuesday.
