Grinding noise when depressing/releasing cluth

Does this mean it's time for a new clutch?

I also hear the same grinding noise at times when i let go of the gas.

The tranny was replaced 6k miles ago, so i don't think it's the tranny.

Any help you guys?

is it slipping at all? when u press the clutch does it make a crunchy noise like your stepping on a bag of chips?

It's not slipping at all. It goes into gear pretty smoothly all the time. When i change gears from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th i hear this metal scraping sound (grind). So it sorta does sound like stepping on a bag of chips.

It only happens sometimes. Only happens when i'm changing gears 1st-2nd-3rd-4th and when i let go of the gas when the car is moving.

do you know the sound of the ABS test? it only happens when you first start running. if you go to 10 mph and let off there is a grinding noise, then it doesn't happen after that.

It happens not only around 10mph letting off the gas, but also when i'm speeding up and shifting fast. It doesn't make a sound most of the time when i shift slowly.

i think youre referring to the "normal" grinding from the transmission.

Whoa, are you serious about the "normal" grind from the tranny? It gets pretty annoying if i don't have my music up.
