Anyone check out the MBZ C-Drive event in SF This weekend?

Sorry to say that my next ride is going to be the MBZ Sport w/Navi...
I was very impressed with the styling and performance...

It's priced right and it's time for something non-japanese and time for "luxury".

Turning 35 next year time to "grow-up" out of the tuner scene...

I think I'm done modifying import cars and driving a 6-speed in SF HILLS

Hopefully by next year I can get into the C....!!!

I've driven the new S classes and those things are a beauty. It literally drives like a small compact car.

 

Not the AMG...Just the C 300 Sport w/Navi - color I want is Peuter/Black -

Gotta find a way out of my loan on the G...owe more than what it's worth right now so gotta come up with some down payment...

MBZ Dealers' are just getting their first batches in so i'm assuming they'll ask over sticker for the first 6mos - 12mos....

Meanwhile, gonna slow down on the driving...It's about $30 - $40K.

i just read an article about C63 AMG in C&D. M3 killer, supposedly, but $60k+. screw that. C300... dunno man.

 

time to go back to "near luxury" sedan....I've always preferred comfort over speed...but the speed is getting me into trouble with the law...

 

2007 G35 Sedan > non AMG C-Class MBZ

 

Even with luxury ain't going to stop you speeding...

I mean.. I personally don't consider a C class that much more of a step up from the G, and not a step up at ALL from the NEW G... a C300 is slower, less technologically advanced, and more expensive than any G you can put together... if you have the old G, I would really make you a heartfelt recommendation to give the 07 sedan/08 coupes a chance, IF NOT then BMW if you want to pay a premium for the "European" label..

Just my $0.02, and I'm someone who knows about luxury.. used to nothing but ranges, 7 series and s classes.. and the G35 sedan gets my vote all day every day against a non-AMG C class benz.


HOWEVER, if it's truly luxury you want, I know a PERFECT car for you.. the Lexus IS.. are you kidding me, just get a IS250 with Mark Levinson, decked out.. the seats are amazing, the interior is as nice as a S class mb, the Mark Levinson blooows away our Bose systems, technologically it's equivalent if not slightly better, and it's a good looking car on the exterior too.. definitely superior to the MB in every aspect. Not superior to the G because it's just like a toy car next to the beast that is the G35

 

Hmm... I don't really think it's really the car it's the prestige behind driving a Benz but honestly driving a C Class doesn't say much either. My colleagues have always preached to me that the "C" means cheap. But then again I'm biased, I've never really liked Benz not because I can't afford it but because it's over priced, over rated, and breaks down a lot no matter what model you get. But if you end up getting it congrats.
