wondering about tints

So I live in CA so I was thinking of tints, with some darker ones in the rear and a lighter % in the front. Just wondering what prices you guys paid. I got a quote for around $400 for all 4. What % would you recommend for my silver coupe?

id say get either 20% if you wanna go dark or 30% if u wanna go for that classy look. tints shouldn't run you more than 200.

a good tint job will be b/w $250 and $350 but in CA, it could be more.

IMO, lighter tints in the front looks terrible. I had it set up that way on my FX before my G. Having the same tint all around even if its lighter looks MUCH better.

But if you are going to get tints, go for the gold and get 5% all around. That's what I have and I would go darker if I had to do it all over again.

isn't 5% light? Since it's illegal in CA for front tints I don't want it to be too noticeable, that's why I was thinking about lighter in the front.

if you pay 400 for a tint job you better have atleast 10 windows that need tinting

I paid 200 which I think was too much. I have 18% all around cept windshield and I love it!

I got 35% in the front and 20% in the back which ends up registering 28% and 17% or so.. and they look good. It also makes a difference what color interior you have, if its black that would be fine if its lighter then you might want to go with a darker tint. By the way my tint cost me $140 to get the whole thing done with a seamless back window.

okay so everyone agrees $400 is wayyyy too much. Should I be more around $200 since I'm in CA or what? I have light interior so would 30% front and 20% in the back look good or should I shoot for a darker tint?

what about like 20% or 25% all around? and should I find another place to do it for cheaper or should I try to work the price down, since I like this place I go to.
