My friend from HongKong brought me this rearview license plate camera (not my style though!, but I can't complaint because it's a GIFT! )

I saw eBay is selling it for around $100 shipped.

If I were to get it myself, I would go with this http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Boyo-VTL200-License-Plate-with-RearView-Camera-Low_W0QQitemZ360028042477QQihZ023QQcategoryZ48605QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem instead.

I already have the headrest DVD entertainment (Invision Revolution II by Invision Industry inc.) in my car.

I accidentaly broke the cable last time and found the video out wire. I then tapped that wire and used it for the video source in my TVandNav2Go module (Video1). The headrest DVD comes with a wireless FM modulator.

Andy, does the plate camera rotate down far enough to pick up the bumper and the rear image?

The camera rotates up (10 degrees) and down about 90 degrees. The camera is a wide angle (~150 degrees). It's a CCD camera with a low lux.

Take a look at the video2 to get some idea of the image.
