Andy... did you ever find out what was the problem with your cigarette lighter not working?

Yes, I found 2 culprits that caused it:
- the replacement cigaret lighter fuse was not plugged in right
- one of the socket wire got loose when I put back everything
(to fix it, I decided to solder the wire)

you don't get it on a smaller screen for stunning visuals - you get it so that you can simply watch it. what if all you bought from now on were blu ray movies and you had a standard DVD player in your car? then you wouldn't be able to watch any of you new BD movies. what fun is that?
i have that problem now - i have tons of new movies in bd but no portable player to bring with me on trips so no new movies to watch.

Chris, that's an easy fix. Just get a Blu-ray/DVD burner drive (~$150) for your PC and rip your Blu-ray movies to a DVD disc.

If you search the web, you might be able to get the right software to do it!

Andy, wow, you're up early. Yeah, this is one option but then you don't get to use any of the extra features on the bd disc such as PIP or BDlive (if you have a wireless connection). But if you hook up your PS3 in your car, you're all set! i admit, your solution is the one that makes the most sense and is cost efficient, but i just like BD players everywhere!

My friend from HK bought it for me.
But I saw the same one on eBay. Search "License plate rear view camera"

PIP in a small 7" LCD.

Beside most car LCDs don't have a component/HDMI input. Most have an RCA video input. So, IMO adding a Blu-ray player won't give you a stunning video quality.
