It would interesting to see just how low my car would be with stock 18's.

It probably would be on the ground with 18's.

exactly... although for those people, it is probably cheaper to get a new wheel seeing as how those dudes pay like $1k for 20's.

But considering how many sets of wheels shops like Wheel Techniques works on, doesn't sound like a bad idea.
