Thank you once again Andy. I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry you're having to think about these things.

A huge thank you Eloy and friend for diffusing the parking lot episode.

If I can help in any way, including helping organize another meet, let me know. We have a format for these meets and I'm sure there are a few of us that would gladly step up. That way you can sit back and enjoy a day of driving without headaches.

Andy, I want to thank you, Carol, Shane, Shannon, all the GLs and their anchors for executing a well orchestrated event. Considering the amount of vehicles and sheer number of participants, I'm surprise how well it turned out.

Your experience in spear heading the SC Run does not go unnoticed and I certainly hope this annual meet becomes a tradition.

It was my pleasure to lend a hand and helping out.

Thanks, All . . . I am simply a prisoner of my own standards. Those whom have spent more time with me and know me better, know that I am not willing to put anyone at risk.

The big run/meet season has come to an end for me. I'll revisit this issue at the beginning of the next year.

Yes we have experience some growing pains, but that just inevitable and there always will be certain area(s) that we might over looked or have not anticipated and some times? We just simply wont able to control, when those things happens? Put on a smile and move on . It is quite a shame that action of just one person might jeopardize future driving meets for the entire community.

The one’s who was doing it at parking garage did arrive late with their G friends at San Mateo, so they didn’t get the warnings at group meeting (not try to make excuses for them), we could curb “some” of the stuns at parking garage in the future by have someone stand by the entrance and remind everyone pass thru the gate to watch their speed as they go around the lot, that’s job for Cru, somehow I think he will do it quite persuasively.

Andy, the pleasures was all mine to be your co-organizer at some of these past events. I’m hope you will reconsider and continue organize these events in the future, I wish I could be there to take some of the burden off you, but in my absences, the group leaders should shoulder some of it, as they will take on more of co-organizer role than just participants. I hope these large driving meets will continue and thrive.

Andy,

Great post. I missed the "outburst" towards Rob which is probably a good thing because I would have back handed you, shook you, and yelled "Get a hold of yourself!"

I thought it was very nice of the lady managing the garage to approach us about the morons squealing their tires. She could have just as easily called the police instead of giving us a second chance.

You missed the incident with the yellow Porsche. As we were descending the stairs of the parking structure to make our way to the restaurant I heard tires screeching very near. I looked over and saw some youngster in a yellow Porsche tearing around the corner. I mustered up my loudest jail command voice and yelled “HEY, KNOCK THAT SH*T OFF!!!” Sometimes I have to realize I’m not talking to inmates, LOL.

There is no doubt Shane will be missed. He has been such an integral part of all of our meets. I believe though, that in his absence other members will step-up and help organize future events. I, for one, am willing to take on more responsibility, work schedule permitting.

I really believe that we should limit these events to G35 owners only. I hate to exclude anyone, but these last two incidents by non-G members cannot be ignored. This last time was not only the Mitsubishi owner but a couple of the Z guys as well. If we want to continue to hold these events we cannot afford the negative attention these people bring. We were lucky to only be dealing with the parking garage lady and not the SCPD.

I hope you change your mind about the SC/Monterey runs as they are fantastic events. If you minus the garage incidents, the event was pretty much flawless.

Anyway, thanks to you, Carol, Shane and Shannon for dedicating your time, energy, and hard work to making this event a tremendous success.

…Eloy AKA Cru

This is something I considered myself as well and I completely agree. Consider me volunteered for this duty.

LOL . . . How about no speed bumps?

Actually, there were no speed bumps at the upper level, last year. Carol and I just noticed the last set of bumps a few months ago. I sure that last year's antics and others caused the installation of the new set of bumps.
