Someone dented my bumper

This morning i found a dent on my back bumper cover. The a-hole didnt leave his/her info. my deductible is $500 dont know if i should file a claim or get a new bumper and paint it...

update:

Incident occured at my apartment complex's parking lot. The lady did report it to the manager. She wants to pay me in cash my deductible. ($500)

Ouch! . . . Gotta hate to see that sort of thing. I know that it is of no consequence to you now, but . . . Some day Karma will rise up and take a big bite out of this person's a$$.

It happened to me couple of years ago, it cost around 700 with new bumper cover and paint it, shop around, some shop quoted me 1k while other quoted me 650.

Funny thing was, right after I took it out of bodyshop no more than 20 mins later? some lady run into it from other side.

well it's your call in regards to filing a claim. if you were hit, it's a non-fault claim which will NOT result in an increase of your premium.

People have no respect for other's property.

Hell, they don't even have the decency to leave a note.

Sorry that happened to you. Where did it happen, in a parking lot? If there were other people around, they should have jotted down this guy's info and left it for you on your windshield but maybe that's asking too much of people these days.

i scratched a car on a the parking lot once, left my phone number & name on the windshield, { camera on campus }the owner call back and said thankyou for being honest... give him $200 dollars cash and DONE DEAL!

same happen to me. i used a blow dryer to warm it up and popped it out from the inside. depending you may need to touch up some parts with paint. mine still doesnt look perfect but most ppl cant tell.
