Interesting night.I'm pretty pissed

So last night my girl and I went out with her friends from out of town. We were partying in SF and were driving back to their hotel. We were on 4th St heading to 101 South when just as I was getting on the onramp, I got hit on the right side. There are two lanes going onto the freeway and I was in the left lane. I don't know what lane his guy in a BMW was in, but i did see him just before he hit me and so did a a few f my passengers. I stopped immediately and backed up to where the other car was in fear that he was going to drive off in another direction. There was another car with us with our friends in it that was right behind us and they saw it happen. I jump out of the car and cussed the driver out and he had the nerv to deny he did anything wrong and accused me of cutting him off!!! After a few minutes of me and my friends trying to convince the driver and his two buddies they were in the wrong (we were still on the onramp blocking the left lane) a cop showed up and had us move off the onramp and onto the street. After parking our cars, I was surprised to see that another vehicle had stopped and they were willing to be witnesses and that the BMW was in the wrong. I was like "YES!".

I walked up to the two officers on the scene and they didn't seem interested to do any work and write a report, eve though we had two carful of people as witnesses. I got the old "just exchange information with the other driver and let the insurance handle it from there". I said "But I have witnesses and I think I should get a police report". Needless to say, the didn't do one and took off.

As I was exchanging information with someone in the BMW that said he was the driver even though he wasn't, the actual driver that hit me was irate and yelling and screaming threatening to kick someone's a$$. Apperently this guy was cussing out the police and one of the officers called him a fat a$$ and told him to do some sit ups and this was why he was irate. It seemed lke he was also on something or drunk.

His screaming had carried on for a few minutes and as I was wrapping up writing evrything down, I hear a bunch of commotion and look over. I see the irate guy with a bloddy nose and his buddies are helping him into the car. Somebody (i shouldn't say who) I guess got fed up with the irate guy and came over to tell him to shut up and when the irate guy started to show signs of agression, then this other guy knocked him out with one punch. I was too busy writing down information to see the actually go down, but evryone else that was there saw it. They said it was the best knockout they've ever seen. Too bad I missed it. I thought it was sweet justice as that was the driver that hit me and not the guy giving me his information.

Now I have to get it fixed. Damaged both passenger side doors and the side skirt.

Getting nailed in S.F.....?

Sorry to read about your accident Chris! Even though the cop didn't make a
report you can still give the witness information to your insurance company.
It might help if the other party is claiming no fault in this incident.
Gary

Wow, what a bunch of losers in that BMW. Glad you are ok, and happy that the driver got knocked out.

Anyway, I've taken that particular on ramp MANY MANY times (actually I took it today, too) and I can picture exactly what happened.

Also, I've witnessed on multiple occasions where the car in the right lane goes straight instead of curving right on to the freeway like he's supposed to and ends up almost hitting the car in the left lane who is curving right.

Was it the SFPD that showed up? It sucks that they didn't do a damn thing. Did you tell them that the driver refused to give you his information? They should have acted at that point.

Well, at least you guys are OK.

No comment about the "ghost punch".

To be fair I don't think this way about all cops. Just the two that were on the scene. I actually have a great deal of respect for law enforcment, even if i get pulledd over for anything.
