Which 2 photos should I have enlarged?

As most of you know I recently had a photoshoot with Gene (Kyosho). After seeing the final product (and Chris' poster sized enlargement of his G), I knew I had to have 1 (or more) enlarged to hang in my garage.

I want to have 2 photos enlarged to poster size (20x30). Photo #1 is a given for enlargement, but I'm undecided as to which one should be the second choice.

That's where you come in. Tell me which 2 photos I should enlarge and tell me why you chose those 2 (I'm just curious as to what you like about each photo).

After I get them enlarged and framed, I'll do a follow up.

Thanks for looking & for voting!

I'd say the first two are the only worthy ones, but really, only #1 stands out to me. The second one is kind of cluttered with all the poles, sails, van, trash can, and the building in the background. The color is off in 3 and 4 and the orange lights reflecting off the car are anything but flattering.

IF you do get #1 printed, i'd have Gene clone another row of windows in the top right corner so they go all the way across, it looks like its missing without it. Afterall, you DO want a big print to be perfect if you're going to spend the money and time to go get it printed.

#2 is the best picture of the four, easily. If I had to choose another, then it would be #1. The other pictures are too "noisy" (grainy). They won't look good if you blow them up.

Trust me. Go with #2 for now, and wait until you get another good shot (perhaps from the rear 3/4 angle) to do another poster.

You make a lot of good points.

Thanks for the input, Grant.

I really like #2, if only it could be cleaned up a bit, i.e. remove van, garbage can, etc.

Chris (G35papa) and I had the same concerns about the enlargements being too grainy, but he enlarged one of his and the "noise" wasn't nearly as bad as either one of us thought it would be.

With that said, because it's just for my garage, I'm cool with the enlargements being a little grainy. I'm no expecting it to be perfect, not that it wouldn't be nice.

imo, it looks fine with all that stuff. ideally, i'd remove that van. but otherwise, it's a great picture.

I'll have to have someone chop the van & garbage can out. I think that would make it look cleaner.
