This will get you sent to the referee if you want to know.

97 Supra with a single turbo, headers, exposed and adjustable cam gears, etc.

Or an Evo with headers and HKS intake with no CARB EO# on it:

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
i'm puting my car back to stock as we speak.

already took off my volks due to bent rim and leaking air but i was planning on getting stock rims again.

next put on front plate

gonna put back stock intake.

gonna remove tint from driver's and passenger windows

I've been pulled over way too many times for no front plate and it's just an easier target when your car is modded...fines are too high right now...including paying for gas...not worth it....

on that note anyone got a stock grille? i have a gialla grille for sale pearl white...!!!

bobby =)

This dragnet thing is serious. Ive been on several forums and my xB group has had several cars pulled over these last few days. I have friends with M3s, Hondas, EVOs, and anything else slightly modded being pulled over all over 101. They apparently look for stickers and wheels. The hot spots are from Millbrae Ave to Grand Ave on 101 N, from 380 to Mission St. on 280N, 101 N/S around Monster Park area, Serramonte and Hickey areas. Most Dragnet members are CHP, some sheriffs, and a few locals. They can pull you over anywhere.

thats why I am glad I didn't buy a car like an Evo/Sti/A4 in which I would have definitely done engine work.

Damn, that is lame. Pulling you over just for wheels. I hope this "wonderful idea" doesn't trickle down to SD. If it comes down to having to roll this car stock, I'm selling it and buying a truck to haul my 240 to the track.

I hate cali.

UPDATE:
REF passed me this morning. I got the paper work saying that I'm at 97db on 4650 RPMs. I also passed the smog-check.

FYI: They check for your plenum spacers too, the tech (who is very cool by the way) was on the phone with someone asking him to check for plenum spacers. "IT IS ILLEGAL TO PUT THE PLENUM SPACERS ON"
Then also he knew told him about the Fremont thing, apparently there was an email chain regarding Ken's issue so other tech was supplying pictures how the cat is supposed to look like. I saw the pics, it was the CATs for 350Z.

Anyway, everything is cool. Now I hope I'm not paying for the fines and I'm extremely happy.

Oh. I didn't realize this before but man the Z-tube and Intak does bring the sound of the exhaust up quite a lot. Because I'm driving with stock set-up and I swear the HKS exhaust sounds like stock.

Sounds good. So plenum spacer is NOT a problem, correct? Thanks for all the good info guys. Im sure it will help all of us who are slightly or heavily modified in Cali.

Sorry I wasn't clear in my previous post.. But its illegal to have the plenum spacer. So when you're going to the smog-tech, remove it.
