got pulled over.
me 2 =(
oh man, i also got pulled over today in san jose for window tint. i have 50% front 35% rear, talk about ****. =( now i don't really know what to do, i had it for 4 years and this is the first time i got a fix-it ticket for it. i am looking furiously to see if there's friends' friend who is a cop. sigh...
"oh btw, your tint is not that dark, is it factory?"
"no sir, it is aftermarket"
i am kicking myself now for not lying, though i am not sure it that would change anything. OH btw, they have been setting up a semi-trap for like a week now on saratoga ave 280-S on ramp to catch alot of the silly things, be careful over there . and if you guys have any advice of what i can do, please let me know. i am just planning to pay someone to take off my tint, get the ticket signed and put the tint back up...what a waste of money in this economy =)

i'm boosted. i've been pulled over twice and they never bothered to check under the hood. low profile is the way to go.
You want advice? Don't lie to the police. Misdemeanor.

thanks. i mean i didn't want to cause any trouble and i respect any officer who "decide" that they should stick to the book. by no means i think it is the officer's fault because i am well aware that i am not allowed to have any tint on the windows (which i think is some bull**** law). though i just wanted to present my point that i really made a big effort to not get dark tint, all i care about is my skin and protect the interior of my car in summer (since my stupid work place has no indoor parking). thanks everyone, i will try to find a lenient officer i suppose, not too sure where. starbucks? =) btw, does that mean i will still have to go to court on the date stated on the ticket? its amazing how there is almost no direction on the ticket.
btw chippie, i was just saying about the lying part. i would've never done it even if i thought it might get me out of that silly ticket. i think i am educated enough to not necessary need to know which code i would be violating to see that it is not a good idea in any part of the world to lie to police officers. thank you for your information regardless =)
the trap i was talking about at saratoga and 280S, is actually on the on-ramp so you don't see them until you turn into 280S. they pretty much are creating more traffic by slowing down everyone and tell who can go and who not.

That... SUX.
I just got pulled over last Friday morning for having tint in the front windows and no front license plate from a Pomona cop in Diamond Bar. I wonder if cops are cracking down on the tints.
