The W3v3 is a single voice coil woofer whereas the W3v2 is a dual voice coil. The other major difference is the physical appearance of the cone and surround. Thats pretty much it. Power handling is the same.

For audio installs, try autosound specialists in union city. www.autosoundspecialist.com Kenny and Reggie did a few cars for some g35driver members. When i went there a couple months ago there was a silver 05 coupe getting a jl stealth box, and a jl 250/1 matted to the stock bose system. Another red g35 coupe with a g35driver license plate frame was getting an alarm install there as well. Just tell them Ray P sent ya!
Another shop to consider is sound innovations in hayward as well. They do really good work and have a lot of vouches. Ask for Ernesto.

If you were thinking of installing it yourself it was pretty easy to do. I did mine a couple weeks ago. Now that I know how to do it, I would say it should only take about 1.5hrs to install amp + sub. From what I've looked at, most audio shops in the bay run anywhere from $75-$110 an hr for labor.

Have you decided on all your equipment yet? Are you just installing amp and sub?

g35cuzz and xxpolo47xx, what did you get installed at autosound? I've been going there for about 6 years and they never did a bad install on any of their customer's cars.

actually i want to try to install it myself. i was looking at the DIY, i understand everything except for the part where u splice the cables from the car amp to the rca cable. can anyone clarify that part for me?

I have everything ready to install
4080 box
JL 10w3v2
JL 250/1 amp
and gauge kit

am i missing anything else?
