Hahaha Faxon Garage = MachIII = Kris79 ... what a selfish plug
I would stay away from MachIII as far as possible if I were you. Here is why:

Beshoff Infiniti is pretty good for these kind of things with very reasonable price. I take my car to Zcargarage.com for upgrades but I'm not sure how much their 50k service cost. I've had experience with both and happy with both experiences.

+1 for Eugene. He does great work at a great price.

If you were to get this done at a dealership, do yourself a favor and head down to Beshoff Infiniti in San Jose. You will not be dissapointed.

The $64k question....

There are a lot of choices for maintenance service providers. What is the best choice depends on what you're looking for. Certainly price is ranks at the top of most peoples list these days. Price alone will filter out a lot of shops. But price being competitive, there are other worthy considerations:
  • Does the technician hold ASE and Infiniti Certification , or any certification for that matter? Ask to see their certification (if it is not posted for all to see.)
  • What brand parts/fluids are used, aftermarket or Original?
  • Is a wash & vacuum included?
  • Is a Infiniti loaner car included, or do you need to wait around, or bum a ride from a friend?
  • Is the establishment licensed automotive repair business & are they in good standing?
  • What do they do with their hazardous waste?
  • Is the company involved in the community and local enthusiasts, in other words: does the business give back to the community? Do they deserve your support?
  • Probably most importantly: how does the business handle something that goes wrong? Will they still be around in 6-months? With cars, something can always go wrong & be skeptical of someone who tells you otherwise. When the moment of truth comes how do they handle problems?
The person spending their hard earned money can place value on these questions in a way that makes sense to the individual. Each of us has unique priorities. There are a number of competent service provider options available, both dealer and independent. Sadly there are also bad options, both dealer and independent. The right choice will be answered by asking the questions that matter to you. Asking the above questions in order of your unique priorities will hep filter through the plethora of choices, making the decision easier. Knowing the right questions to ask improves the probability of a good experience. Just our $.02 hope it helps

A good checkup will include scanning for codes, a thorough test drive, a visual inspection of all components from above and below, and oil analysis of the engine oil (and even transmission oil if you want to be really thorough). Another thing most places miss is to check the spark plug tube seals - they tend to go bad with these valve cover designs and the plug wells will fill up with oil, in some cases fouling the plugs (I've never seen this but have heard of it happening) and in all cases degrading the ignition coil pack.

actually its 2 differnt companys. faxon is the garage, machiii is parts.

every shop has thier issues. and i did ask about your install, at the time we had 2 of our techs out. one was in the hospital due to a accendent and another was on vacation so we only had one new tech. but i started working at machiii bout 8 month ago. since then we do nothing but work on g35s, 350z, 335s. 3 of our workers here own g's.

we have implemented new procedures so things liek that do not happen again.
