MachIII sucks!

MachIII sucks!
Whoever is considering bringing the car to MachIII for suspension work/alignment etc. be advised of what might happen (this happened to me).
-Took my car for coilovers, SPC kits (front rear) install.
-Day one: they tried to give me my car with 1degree toe in the rear trying to tell me that 1 degree tow is nothing and I will be fine
-Day one-and-a-half: found out (myself) they did not do install of SPC rear kit correctly. Printed out DIY and gave to them asking to follow either DIY or the SPC installation direction which were provided at day one.
-Day two: they said there is something wrong with my car, the best they could do is to have 2deg camber. They said there is nothing can be done; the car can't be aligned.
-I paid full price for install and alignment. On the side note, the steering wheel was not straight after their alignment.
-I had a hard time believing that something is wrong with my car -- took it to Auto Innovations. Orlando immediately told me that install was done incorrectly. He fixed it and easily aligned the car back into specs.
-I called MachIII and explained politely that it was their mistake and they did not deliver what I paid for; asked them to investigate and call me back to discuss partial refund.
-Never heard from them again
Just sharing the experience ... be informed before you take a decision to do business with them.
Orlando at Auto Innovations (Milpitas) -- very knowledgeable, professional person!!! Great experience!!!

dude, you gotta at least let us know where the hell you are ? what state, what city ? lol
but I feel your pain dude, I went an hour out of town yesterday to "supposedly" the best alignment shop in my state, and they fixed everything except when I was almost home my steering wheel was way off, I had to keep it turned an extra 10 degrees to the right to keep it going straight.
And I can't complain to anyone, nor do I feel like going back there.... so I gotta pay outta pocket, it ain't right and I usually don't get jerked around, but I gotta let this one slide since these guys have such a good reputation, my locals would call me a liar if I told them what happened.

Actually, I don't think any good can really come from someone from Mach III jumping on here to defend themselves. Because at that point, it will only become a drama-fest between the shop & the OP with accusations being thrown back and forth in front of an audience, who will only egg the situation on further. This is a situation best left to be handled in private between the shop & the OP.
Bottom line is, like J said, when dealing in the customer service industry, you will have your bad days. It doesn't mean that as a business, you shouldn't do all that you can to correct the situation, but since we don't know the full story (which is none of our business to begin with), we don't know what Mach III has or has not done.
No matter which shop you go to, your gonna hear good & bad stories about. A handful of board members have had work done @ Mach III, and have had excellent experiences. Obviously, the OP and a few others, have either had or heard of bad experiences.
At the very least, this thread should serve for people to share their experiences, both positive & negative, and from that other members can make up their own mind about choosing to do business with Mach III in the future. What this thread should not become is a name calling, (falsely) accusation filled, mud slinging fiasco.

andy and myself talked to them yesterday we have no clue how they "installed" it wrong since it only fits one way, only thing we can think of is the toe bolts.
its common practice for other shops to bad mouth other shops by saying oh they installe dit wrong. sometimes the shop does but in this case i really dont see how.
but anyways do u have the your alignment papers?

Ummm . . . I have been to this particular shop for a coilover installation, wheel alignments, tint, new tires and wheels, etc. I have always been greeted and dealt with in a very professional and courteous manner.
The prices, which I have received have been very fair and quite competitive. As such, I will continue to go there.
Unfortunately, problems may occur and the bad press does have a way of being embellished to a certain degree.
To the OP . . . I am please to read that your issues have been resolved. I too am a fan of IA. They perform excellent work.

I hope it was pretty clear from my original post that I only exercised my option of sharing my experience at a public forum. I contacted MachIII and gave them a chance to do the right thing. They ignored me. Fine. I am posting here. I just want potential customers to know what kind of situations they might experience if decide to go to MachIII.
Here is the problem. I understand that they might have had difficulty reading the SPC installation instruction and following them. I understand that. No biggie. Say -- I could not do it, I'd go somewhere else.
However, I can not understand those things:
- trying to send customer home with 1 degree toe saying that everything is nice and dandy
- ignoring the customer's request of investigating the issue: I called them and explained politely the situation. I provided the name and phone number of the shop that fixed their mistake. I did not even DEMAND anything at that point -- all I asked to investigate and call me back to discuss.
Is that too much to ask? Kris79 -- tell me -- do you think I am overreacting?
I gave them time. If they did the right thing and at least talked to me I would not be posting here.
Orlando (Auto Innovations) is not like that. He showed me exactly what was done wrong. He fixed it, alignment was done perfectly. Of course I have alignment papers
You don't see it -- good to know. Not following the SPC instructions, not elongating the holes, sending me home with 1 deg toe saying it is ok, not knowing where to stick toe bolts, ignoring me after I asked them to look into this issue, blaming my car saying that something wrong with it so alignment can not be done .. hmm ... I gave MachIII phone number of the shop that fixed the problem. They could have called and ask. I gave them all the info. I asked them to investigate the issue! I was not hiding anything.
Ignoring my request and not getting back to me -- this is what I think is a bad business. If you made a mistake -- say mea culpa -- take responsibility.
Oh well. I don't even want anything from them anymore. I hope they realize that they are hurting themselves by treating customers this way. I am just a messenger.
