Is Anyone Here Into r/c Cars?

So i got into r/c cars when i was like 15/16 and i had one built. I think it was this exact model right here. http://www.hpiracing.com/kits/rtrnitro3/rtr3-m.htm

It wasnt a rtr tho, cuz i had built that **** myself. I remember i took me 2 days. I only got to play it like 3 times tho because i think it built it wrong because when i stepped on the gas the motor would run, but the car wouldnt move. I gave up on it after that. Then i ran into a group of guys showing off their r/c cars at the great mall last week and got me interested again. I asked my dad if i still had the car and he said yes, so im pretty excited to get back into it now. But im afraid its still broken, and its been sittin in the garage for a good 4/5 years. Im wondering if anyone is interested in helping me fixing it and cleaning it.

Yeah...it really is an expensive hobby. The money you put into this could easily be going towards a REAL car haha. but i just wanna fix it up and mess around with it when i have free time. Hopefully it wont cost much to get it fixed.

I have a few HPI cars myself. My first one was the same as yours (HPI RS43). One of them is still brand new in the box. lol. I haven't messed with them in a few years. Just take it to a local hobby shop for a tune up. Shouldn't cost that much.

I'm still lovin R/C. But I dropped down to a smaller scale. XMods Evolution from radio shack.

everything has been modded. from motor, to all alumium frame, and of course a G35 body. and Great drift wheels. A few hundred dollars into a r/c car that was purchased for a mere $50.00. but hey, modding is our way of life right ladies & gents?
