05 g35c cd player stop working, any help appreicated, (out of warranty, sucks)

My g35 cd player just stopped working ("check disc") while my vacation around tahoe.

Came back, checked with beshoff, out of warranty and need to pay $150/hr to get checked out what's wrong with it, not feeling so friendly,

After searched here and googled a little bit and tried to remove negative terminal for 45 mins, no good. I knew that it's time to either get another cd player/radio unit from ebay or may go double din (but I already had factory nav, is it worth?)

please advice the way to go (with popular dd) and pm/quote me the price for replacement of cd player or installation of double din.

Thanks in advance,
~A

Just because you have factory nav does not mean you cant get a nice DD unit without navi. There are alot of good deals out there on great units. Its up to you what features you want (IPOD Coontrol, bluetooth, etc.) Like others said, search on forum for for DD kit. I would only buy a new HU since you never know how the unit the other person is selling really is. I learn from exp... Good luck

I have navi and DD

just remember if u go DD u have to buy the AC unit part and the DD case which will run about 250-300 if u get OEM stuff.

I still have my Orig factory cd/radio player if interested

I just read somewhere on driver that you can use the old AC Controller and do a very simple mod. Might be worth it to look into it to save some cash..
