Need your help - What do you think my G is worth?

Hi all,

I have met many of you on the Pebble Beach Run, although I wasn't able to help Warren out this year as my wife and I were out of town. It seems as though since I have moved back to NorCal, I don't have the time that i used to for my car. The G has been sitting in the garage for almost a year. It only has 3200 miles on it since the motor/turbos/car were built (in 2006) and only 24,345 total miles.

I hate to say this, but I think it is time to try to sell my coupe, but I don't have any idea how much it might be worth in todays market out there. I know many of you keep a close eye on what highly modded G's sell for, so I am hoping you can help me out. I added up what it would take to build one likeit today paying retail. It would be about $85,000 plus the car!!! Now I know it isn't worth all that, but I'm hoping you guys can tell me what you think it is worth.

For the most part it is in extremely good condition. Not quite show quality any more, but with a little effort it could be again! It has been put on and off trailers a lot when it was a show car for Lightning Audio, so there is some wear on the front body kit and it needs the paint touched up in front as well from when the front license plate holes were filled. Other than that, it runs perfect, makes just under 600 hp and over 600 ft Lbs of torque. It is a monster to drive!

Any ideas on what it might be worth? I will post a couple of pics for those who haven't seen it. Your help is much appreciated.

For those who are thinking this might be a scam, Tim (ttrank) can vouch for me, as well as others.

Mark

As im sure you know, mods are NOT an investment lol and you will be losing a lot of money in selling this car.. I would be surprised if you got half of what you spent.

IMO, if you plan to sell as-is, I would remove the decals. more often than not people will not want stickers on their newly purchased car regardless of the mods on it.

Stickers have been off it since it was in Performace and Auto and Sound magazine. Here are some more recent pics. Even the UMS Tuning sticker id off it now.

I also should mention it was in Super Street as well. It is a well documented car that has been to a lot of shows, including SEMA and CES in Vegas. Not sure if it will help at all in value, but you never know.

as you know cars and mods are a depreciating asset, but given what you have achieved with your car i am sure you were satisfied with all the coverage, attention and 85k after you have a great deal personal satisfaction of achieving your modding goals

kris do u think if he parts it out he might get more?

I say in this market..I think Kris was a little tight, you should start somewhere in the $38K range. I mean you are litterally giving a car to someone that can keep up with almost anything on the road. And most are spending 80-100K

from looking at the car and the couple times i saw it in the past. if u want to make the most out of it

motor including turbos - 10k
ecu -??? dont know what your running
balling *** recaros -2.5k
front side and rear bumper add ons- 700
wheels - 2000
brakes- 2500
exhuast - 700
car - 17k

labor to take out all those things and install oem 3000-4000

when this car was built it was the first of its kind. so it was very expensive but now u can build this for pretty cheap.

Thanks for the input everyone! I was thinking just under $40k would be a good price. This car is basically brand new. The motor, suspension, brakes, interior etc has under 4000 miles on it and it has never been tracked (unfortunately for me, but i'm sure the new owner will love that fact). Like I said up top only the front body kit needs a little love, but I figure who ever buys it would change the body kit anyway.

Where would you guys try to sell it? ebay?

Should I post a list of all the mods?

Look to sell on all import forums..then try Autotrader..do make a short list of Mods, doesn't have to be everything, just to get people interested in looking at it further.
