I'd wait for the next Crossroads of the West firearms show at the Cow Palace (Sat & Sun, November 7-8). I got good quality .223 there last time for $300/case, which in commiefornia is an insanely fantastic price at the moment. Every brick-&-mortar place will be charging you a LOT more.

You can also try Walmarts in the south bay (since none of the north or east bay ones carry ammo from what they told me over the phone). Unfortunately there are no Cabelas in the bay area.

Another bet would be to order online - www.ammoengine.com. Lastly, send me an email with what you want and I can pass that along to my dealer and see if he has any in stock at a good price.

How much amo are you looking for? I haven't taken my AR out in a long time... I miss my beta c mag. That reminds me, I need to oil up my 30rd clips.

Lucky ducky!

Stupid commiefornia - I'm too young to have bought 30rd magazines before the 2001 high-cap ban.

Yea, I've got buddies who live there too. Definitely good times As far as your Magpul PMAGs, you overpaid bro - cost for a 30rd should be approximately $18-$20 a pop

You definitely should - they're the best magazines out there currently. I'm figuring out where/how to get 10/30 fixed PMAGs so that I can use them here in CA.

I made out like a bandit. I can still buy mine as replacement parts too

I regret selling my 100rd drums though. I had one for the AR and the Mac-90 (AK-47).

The range is so over rated... I go out slightly past Santanella off of HWY5. Exit, Little Panoche Rd. (Not Panocha ). It is open land and you can rapid fire.

I've never been to any open/unincorporated land before - only to Jackson Arms in south SF. As soon as I get my GSG and build my AR's, that will have to change.

Kris - do you want me to ask my dealer if he's got anything in stock? I assume it's for plinking and not for hunting. Lemme know
