NorCal Car Clubs

OK question 1 has been effectively answered. Yes, there are car clubs in the area, and from what i see some really good ones.
What about question 2? Are there enough people out there with enough interest to start a new one? I heard about the drama that unfolded a few years back, so i'm interested to see how this question gets answered

from a personal standpoint I would embrace the challenge of starting up a group in my area. I've done it before and know what it takes. I think the biggest thing goin against me right now is since i'm new to the area i'm not known. I have made it out to a meet already but it's only one so far. So it's understandable for people to be on the fence to commit without really knowing people. Also i've noticed that my local area, i'm prolly the only one out here. everyone seems to be around an hour east or west.
I like what Team H.O.T. is doing which is why i hit them up. only drawback is the core of the group is over a hour away. generally that can put a damper on unscheduled, "spur of the moment" hanging out between members. But i also know when you have a good group distance isnt always a problem.
Either way, however things play out I've already said I'm down for whatever and plan on being active in meets and so forth, as i've already signed up for stuff.
