I only saw one other G there...but that was in the afternoon session and I was in the AM. Had a crappy day on the course including almost rolling my freshly painted car...so didn't feel like socializing much.

Yeah but it was totally my own fault. I should have accelerated so quickly out of the corner and once I started to spin I shouldn't have lifted off the throttle. I don't think a wheel even came off the ground at all, there was just a lot of force pushing sideways (pushing parallel my shoulders you could say). Also, this was in the highest speed area.

Guess the rain didn't help much either. One of these times I need to get out there and have them tell me if I'm good to compete.

It was actually totally dry then. If it was wet I would have just spun and been cool.

I'll still be heading back many times in the future though. The have a detailed FAQ at www.norcalufo.org if you want to see if your car is approved to run.

Good to hear the weather was not too bad!

It's technically not approved since it's an SUV, but I spoke to Peggy about it and told her what all mods I had done and she said I could come out and see how it drove. If I get to dangerous they would just have me stop.

Yeah, that was me. I'm pretty low, but the worst part is all my jacks and jack stands are back at home, so I can't really adjust anything. Unless I borrow stuff there I guess.

Here's about how it sits now though:

The entry to the huge sweeper? I spun there too my first time out.. anytime I tried to step on it during the next runs, the car would get loose. Really missed having my autox tires on.. but didn't want to swap tires with all the rain this weekend. My best was a 47.4xx in the fun runs.. 49.3xx in the actual laps that counted.

Yes! Exactly. I wanted to take advantage ofthe relative straight to use the vq power, but it got loose and I was going FAST, so I was being jerked 1 way then the other for that ENTIRE straight. I obviously have a lot to learn, but I think new tires will help. I'm on total pos ones that are not predictable or grippy.

After I almost rolled, I went very slow on the rest of that run. Plus it felt like my alignment got thrown off. That was run 2. Then run 3 it still felt off in the beginning but good mid way through. So those two times were slow. 66 and 61 I think. The last run I got a 53.xxx. This was faster than my first, so I was moderately happy. My very first actually got interrupted, so the real first run was really my second.

About the jack stuff... They usually have a number of private jacks there but I can see why you'd want to avoid doing that
