Anyone know the cost of this traffic ticket?

So today I got a ticket just a block away from home. I made a right turn on red at this intersection that says "No right turn on red." I know, it was dumb of me, but I've been doing this for a while and didn't think much of it. It's not a dangerous intersection and not too many cars pass by.

Anyway, I was caught by a cop today and ticketed so lesson learned.

Does anyone have any idea of how much this might cost?

That ticket is going to run you about $386.00. Plus traffic school and other fees so it should total about $475.00

Jesus christ, I can't believe it's more than a speeding ticket.

I hate how they enforce this crap now. There are two intersections here that aren't "NO TURN ON RED", instead they are "Right turn permitted after stop". Some people are too scared to go after a stop because they also mounted a TON of cameras at the intersection, so everyone gets stuck behind the guy who won't go. There's also a sign that says the fine for running the red w/o stopping is around $475.

Did he cite 21461(a) VC? You might be able to find the Bail Schedule on line for Alameda County. Of course it will probably say $35 or something like that. But by the time the court adds up all the percentages and fees, I may come out to $200+.

Just show up to court and say guilty with traffic school. You will get it reduced by alot. Take an online course That you can finish in about an hour. Its very simple. Lesson learned but with less cash out your pocket. I was caught in redwood city turning onto 101 south from Whipple. Didn't know there was a no turn on red until chp got me. I make sure to stop every single time now.
