I keep saying that it's the last mod then I find or see something that I tell myself I really "need" just to justify throwing money into an "already nice" car that REALLY didn't "need" anything to begin with...

I had a plan for my G in my head before I bought the car and it was just a Pioneer AVIC-D1 and some wider rims.

I am not into body kits and wings as I only have the OEM Splash Guards and Front Lip right now, I am satisfied with the looks. I just keep on keepin on with the mods! Now there is no end.

I have already spent about 12K on my G already and it's gotta stop! I have been looking at forced induction now. I have been researching the APS Single Turbo kit... It's my crazy dream of building a "Japanese M3 Killer" but by keeping the monetary value of the two equivilent... 60K.

My wife thinks I need therapy... LOL!

The one where that guy puts on a helmet and googles and stays 3 minutes
late on friday or goes to lunch with the g/f and doesn't look at the hot girls

i'm @ ~500 on mods for mine and that's just for tint, clear corners, aluminum pedals and stereo stuff to hokk up my ipod

 

I don't want to list all of my parts as we don't know who is on these forums sometimes but... there are always a few opportunists lurking around online. I hope you understand.

PRECISE GRAND TOTAL - 14,100 less 2000 for stock parts I sold off plus countless hours doing all of the mechanical work myself except for the wiring of the AVIC-D1. I did the mounting part only. I also cannot do my own alignments or PDR so I had to pay out on those. I really got most of my parts at a GREAT price so if I had bought the stuff at MSRP, it would be closer to 16K+ easy! I have no body kit or wing because I am not into that sort of thing. I have no forced induction... yet.

...so the total is a bit over 12K because I have some security measures against any attempted theft that I will not reveal... it will be up to the thief if he wants to find out for himself. But if it does happen, my wife will have to bail me out that day.

But I mean, I love my G and driving her is a blast. The sick thing is, I do not regret ONE PENNY I spent on her. What else can I say?

 

MAN...... I WAS like you.... and now..... 18K into it, i am like some others... now if i look back, i would have just invested in a honda (accord or civic) or even a toyota (tacoma) and call it a day with lots of money left for vacations, other electronics, etc....... i guess the baby is going to have to wait......sigh...... this forum is ecpensive..........

LOL . . . My hat is off to you folks, whom are going to town with all of your different mods. My G is going into a hibernation mode with regard to future mods. There are so many more things that I would like to add to my G, but where does it stop? These boards are extremely way too mod friendly, in a manner of speaking. . . . . Hehehe . . . My toes are crossed, as I type these comments.

 

Why isn't the APS TT in your garage yet?

I'm getting ready to purchase a Vortech system.

 

I was just looking around, "window shopping" if you will. If I ever decide to get a turbo kit:

1.I will wait until I am out of warranty
2.I need to get another bike. I sold my Red 02 R1 last year and not having a bike after 5+ years of riding is killing me!
3.I get my second car... suv or sedan just to use for work
4.It will be a APS Single turbo because I am not going for huge HP numbers. Just a little added boost without any problems. I want that blow valve to "pshhhhhh" when I am smokin M3's.
