Monterey Run . . . Saturday, June 24th

It was a beautiful day for a run down to the Monterey Bay, yesterday. Joining me were my wife, Carol . . . Our 7 year old nephew, Austin . . . and everyones' buddy, Shane (limeg35). Thanks to Carol for taking all of the many driving notes/details, which she did. Thanks to Shane for all of his help and making it a wondeful day for all of us. Hehehe . . . Shane, Austin was ranting on and on to his mother about the "Msyterious Fish," which he claimed to have seen in the waters below, as we were enjoying our lunch at Gilbert's.

***The Serramonte staging time has been changed to 9am to 10am instead of the originally posted 10am to 11am. We felt that due to the heavy anticipated traffic . . . This change will afford better driving conditions, driving time and available parking spaces at our final destination. The change in time will definitely make this Monterey Run a better experience for everyone attending. I apologize for any inconvenience(s), which the time change may create.***

Hahaha...Andy, Austin certainly have a bit of imaginations and is very delightful lunch companion, do believe he enjoy the drive and walk around the Wharf, its not like everyday he gets to playing around with monkey and parrot

Ppl ppl, Please read the very first post as Andy edited and put some info to it, and I will be post exact itineraries/locations toward end of weekend(as I usually do ) so please stay tuned ...I would like to move this event up couple weeks as well, but since the date are pretty much inks into ppl's mind and plans so I am not sure its good idea to change it now, but I am open to it.
The meet time at Serramonte is 9am and we will be leaving there for the drive at 10 am sharp!

• 71.5 miles – turn Left into driveway/parking lot. This is the Macy’s/Marie Calendar parking lot at the Capitola Mall. We will stage here for a maximum of 30 minutes and allow others to catch up. Shane (LimeG35) found this staging area. It’s a great place to stop and stretch our legs. Within a very short walking distance are Starbucks, Jamba Juice, a Yogurt shop and who knows what else. We go back the exact same way, which originally came in, to re-enter the Hwy 1.

I'll be there. Hold my hand here... Is it ok to have another type of car along? It's my weekend for my squirrels and between the bf and them it's a tight squeeze in my G. I'm bringing my G but will a heavily modded 300C be ok too?

You are welcome to drive what you would like. This is not strictly a G meet. It's simply a bunch of new and old friends enjoying and sharing the roads together. We always have an excellent time and share many laughs and stories at lunch.
